Abstract Objective Mindfulness is a promising psychological resource that can alleviate dysfunctional fear responses and promote mental health. We investigated how mindfulness affects depression in isolated patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), whether it acts as mediator. Methods conducted an online survey of COVID-19 undergoing at-home treatment from February to April 2022. The included questionnaire on (measured by the Fear Scale), Mindful Attention Awareness Patient Health Questionnaire). A total 380 participants completed questionnaire. analyzed correlation between each variable performed mediation analysis using hierarchical regression bootstrapping verify statistical significance mediating effects. Results Each was significantly correlated. Hierarchical showed association decreased 0.377-0.255, suggesting partially mediates relationship depression. The rapid spread of COVID-19 has overwhelmed healthcare systems across the world. During early stage pandemic, frontline workers (FHWs) caring for patients at intensive care units (ICUs) faced extreme pressure and challenges. This qualitative study aimed to describe different phases psychological distress FHWs during pandemic.Qualitative study.The First Affiliated Hospital Zhengzhou University, a designated hospital with in central China.Eight physicians six nurses working ICU who provided direct patient patients.A descriptive phenomenological using thematic analysis was applied. Semi-structured one-on-one interviews over telephone or Wechat (a social platform China) rather than face-to-face were conducted due quarantine. Interviews audio-recorded transcribed verbatim then analysed thematically.A total 14 conducted, each interview lasted 20-60 min. Five categories identified, participants' experiences classified into five stages (1) mobilisation period: sense responsibility worries; (2) preparation worries, fears doubts about epidemic; (3) transitional complex diverse feelings; (4) adaptation self-adjustment help from external support (5) reflection on life nature.The showed that pandemic had significant impacts FHWs. Self-regulation overcome challenges certain extent. More attention should be paid wellbeing COVID-19-designated hospitals.

Objective This study was performed to identify factors associated with depression and anxiety among Korean adolescents during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.Methods We conducted a cross-sectional of 1,898 (55.2% male, 44.8% female) ranging in age from 12 17 years (mean±standard deviaion age, 15.4±2.6 years). Depression were defined as Patient Health Questionnaire-9 score ≥10 Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 ≥10, respectively. Other questionnaires included sociodemographic data, psychosocial stresses, experiences association COVID-19. Psychiatric scales Gratitude Questionnaire-6, Perceived Stress Scale-10, UCLA Loneliness Scale-3.Results The prevalence rates depressive symptoms participants 13.8% 21.0%, Multivariable logistic regression analysis revealed that female sex, fear COVID-19 infection, low gratitude risk for depression. Fear increased TV watching time, academic-related stress anxiety.Conclusion prevalent pandemic adolescents, infection. Providing appropriate information on COVID-19, helping manage maintain daily life patterns, implementing interventions foster are important preventing adolescents.

The present study aimed to explore changes in depression and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among the general population during prolonged COVID-19 pandemic investigate risk factors adaptive/nonadaptive strategies.A web-based longitudinal survey was conducted across five timepoints from 2020 2022 Japan.
