Abstract Psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) with substances like psilocybin and MDMA has shown promise for conditions including depression post-traumatic stress disorder. Psilocybin may become approved medicines in the coming decade. This study assessed knowledge attitudes regarding PAT among 879 U.S. healthcare professionals via anonymous online survey. Multivariable linear regression was used to identify predictors of openness clinical use. Most participants (71.2%) were female White (85.8%), a mean (SD) age 45.5 (12.7) years. Registered nurses (25.4%) physicians (17.7%) comprised largest professional groups. Respondents endorsed strong belief therapeutic promise, moderate use support legal access both substances, higher overall ratings compared MDMA. Objective items revealed low uses, risks, pharmacology. Primary concerns lack trained providers, financial cost, potential contraindications. Prior psychedelic use, self-rated knowledge, younger age, role predicted MDMA, reporting lower openness. As psychedelics continue garner popular scientific interest, results indicate pressing need additional formal training provide balanced, evidence-based information from trusted sources.

Background Insomnia, depression, anxiety, and stigma are prevalent often coexist in patients with Tuberculosis (TB), potentially exacerbating one another. However, the complex intrinsic associations among these four disorders remain unclear, particularly concerning role of relation to other disorders. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted at West China Hospital Fourth People’s Guangxi from November 2023 June 2024. The levels insomnia, TB were assessed using Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7), TB-Related Stigma Scale (TRSS). Network analysis used identify central bridge symptoms explore within insomnia-depression-anxiety-stigma network. Results PHQ1 (anhedonia), GAD1 (nervousness), GAD5 (restlessness), PHQ3 (sleep problems) Bridge symptoms, including problems), PSQI5 disturbances), (restlessness) link anxiety communities. TRSS1 (family’s negative perception) community exhibited highest betweenness second network, highlighting mediating family support across insomnia psychological symptoms. Additionally, global strength invariance test indicates that gender, age education level do not significantly impact network structure. Conclusion Depression (anhedonia sleep (nervousness restlessness) primary concerns requiring intervention patients. In addition, problems act as a overall Stigma, perceptions family, may play crucial sustaining entire symptom Consequently, could represent potential targets for intervention.

Dissociative therapies are being increasingly explored for their psychiatric applications, although questions remain about how they work and best to use them. In exploring these questions, this review highlights six key areas of clinical relevance: (1) The possible contributions functional unblinding when interpreting efficacy data; (2) degree which the therapeutic effects dissociative can be distinguished from transient forms relief seen with recreational drug use; (3) Understanding construct dissociation as it is tasked describing function drugs; (4) investigation subjective predictors outcome; (5) Similarities differences in classic psychedelics; (6) anticipated need judicious prescribing/deprescribing resources proliferate.
