Food safety is a global concern, with millions suffering from foodborne diseases annually. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports significant morbidity and mortality associated contaminated food consumption, this emphasizes the critical need for comprehensive measures. Recent attention has turned to postbiotics, metabolic byproducts of probiotics, as potential agents enhancing safety. Postbiotics, including organic acids, enzymes, bacteriocins, exhibit antimicrobial antioxidant properties that do not require live organisms, offers advantages over probiotics. This literature review critically examines role postbiotics in gut microbiome modulation applications industry. Through an extensive existing literature, study evaluates impact on composition their functional ingredients. Research indicates are effective inhibiting pathogens such

The trillions of microbes that constitute the human gut microbiome play a crucial role in digestive health, immune response regulation, and psychological wellness. Maintaining microbiota is essential as metabolic diseases are associated with it. Functional food ingredients potentially improving health include prebiotics, probiotics, synbiotics, postbiotics (PPSPs). While probiotics living bacteria provide advantages when ingested sufficiently, prebiotics non-digestible carbohydrates support good bacteria. Synbiotics work together to improve immunity intestinal by combining prebiotics. Postbiotics have also demonstrated numerous advantages, such bioactive molecules created during probiotic fermentation. According recent study, PPSPs can regulate synthesis metabolites, integrity barrier, change composition control illnesses. Additionally, use fecal transplantation (FMT) highlights potential for restoring through modulation, reinforcing benefits enhancing overall well-being. Research has shown several benefits, improved immunological function, alleviation symptoms irritable bowel disease (IBD), decreased severity allergies, antibacterial anti-inflammatory effects. Despite encouraging results, many unanswered questions remain about scope PPSPs' advantages. Extensive research required fully realize these functional components Effective therapeutic prophylactic measures require further investigation into roles PPSPs, specifically their immune-system-modulating, cholesterol-lowering, antioxidant, characteristics.

Abstract This systematic review and meta‐analysis aimed to consolidate evidence on dietary interventions for atopic eczema/dermatitis (AD) skin symptoms in children without food allergies, following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Systematic updates were conducted May 2022 June 2023, focusing randomized placebo‐controlled trials (RCTs) involving with AD but allergies. Specific diets or supplements, such as vitamins, minerals, probiotics, prebiotics, symbiotics, postbiotics, explored these trials. Exclusions comprised descriptive studies, reviews, meta‐analyses, letters, case reports, studies elimination diets, those reporting allergens adolescents. Additionally, assessing exacerbation of due allergy/sensitization evaluating diets' effects excluded. Nutritional supplementation eligible regardless sensitization profile. Evaluation their impact clinical expression was performed using SCORAD scores, a outcomes random‐effect models (CRD42022328702). The encompassed 27 RCTs examining Vitamin D, evening primrose oil, substituting cow's milk formula partially hydrolyzed whey formula. A 20 alone combined revealed significant reduction suggesting consistent trend alleviating Nonetheless, other remains limited, underscoring the necessity well‐designed intervention targeting multiple factors understand etiological interactions propose reliable manipulation strategies.
