Urban disparity has been extensively studied using geospatial technology, yet a comprehensive review of GIS applications in this field is essential to address the current research status, potential challenges, and future trends. This combines bibliometric analysis from two databases, Web Science (WOS) Scopus, encompassing 145 articles WOS 80 resulting final list 201 after excluding 24 duplicates. approach ensures understanding urban disparities extensive technology. The highlights characterizes status frontiers into clusters, scopes, gaps analysis. use both Scopus review’s credibility comprehensiveness. Findings indicate that most focused on accessibility services facilities. However, there recent paradigm shift toward environmental justice, demonstrated by increasing analyzing pollution exposure, heat islands, vegetation distribution, disaster vulnerability, health vulnerability.

With the development of ecological civilization construction, urban planning and in China have entered a phase which optimizing constructing spaces is required.
