profit-oriented
companies
utilising
technology
to
connect
independent
contractor
workers
with
short-term
service
needs,
offering
a
digital
marketplace
for
posting
tasks,
receiving
bids,
and
finalising
agreements
across
various
domains
such
as
writing,
design,
programming,
marketing.
This
paper
presents
bibliometric
analysis
of
the
concurrent
body
knowledge
on
OLPs,
explaining
how
specificities
this
emerging
form
researched
from
academic
standpoints.
The
study
is
based
dataset
358
papers
OLPs
published
2013
August
2023.

that
scholarly
interest
in
steadily
growing
observed
period.
However,
geographical
dispersion
scientific
output
not

actual
level
utilisation
spans
diverse
disciplines,
including

the
emergence

entrepreneurial
opportunities
that
rely
on
a
platform

market

review
synthesizes

entrepreneurship”
