Online labour platforms (OLPs) are profit-oriented companies utilising technology to connect independent contractor workers with short-term service needs, offering a digital marketplace for posting tasks, receiving bids, and finalising agreements across various domains such as writing, design, programming, marketing. This paper presents bibliometric analysis of the concurrent body knowledge on OLPs, explaining how specificities this emerging form researched from academic standpoints. The study is based dataset 358 papers OLPs published 2013 August 2023. main finding that scholarly interest in steadily growing observed period. However, geographical dispersion scientific output not line actual level utilisation spans diverse disciplines, including industrial relations labour, management, economics, sociology, law, computer science. results can help better understand dynamics publishing further leverage underexploited subtopics field.

Digital platforms have facilitated the emergence of novel entrepreneurial opportunities that rely on a platform for market entry and access to resources. This systematic review synthesizes current knowledge how impact shape “platform-dependent entrepreneurship” platform-dependent entrepreneurs (PDEs) respond power asymmetries. The results suggest lower barriers but also lead PDEs’ dependence precarity. Specifically, governance significantly impacts behavior by shaping their access, visibility, through various mechanisms. In response, PDEs employ several strategies preserve autonomy, such as engaging in multi-homing, capitalizing branding, conducting activities outside platform. Thus, identity is co-constructed interplay individual agencies dynamics they navigate tensions ecosystem. This research investigates the effect of trust in platform providers on user participation and economic benefits sharing economy within context Indonesia. Utilizing a quantitative approach, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) path analysis was employed to analyze data collected from sample 150 participants. The measurement model assessment confirmed reliability validity latent constructs, while structural estimation revealed significant positive relationships between participation, benefits, as well benefits. Mediation further demonstrated mediating role relationship moderation did not reveal any effects. Overall, findings contribute understanding dynamics trust, behavior, outcomes Indonesian context, offering insights for providers, policymakers, researchers.

Purpose Agrifood platforms are now part of consumption habits. They have emerged in various forms, and we need to describe this diversity understand better how manage their relationships with farmers. We aim the governance forms agrifood consider whether they comply principles transaction cost economics (TCE). Design/methodology/approach Based on a survey 103 French platform managers, two-step cluster analysis ordered logit regressions were applied test hypotheses derived from theory. Findings The results enable us propose refined typology eight for farmer-platform relationship. Online crowdwork is an increasingly established phenomenon in the labor market, offering millions of workers opportunities for non-standard employment. This study investigates online crowdworkers' viability challenge, focusing on interplay between individual income dependence, perceptions pay inadequacy, autonomy, and locus control. This study explores the dynamics of collective agency among gig workers in digital platform economy, focusing on three key research questions. First, it examines power dynamics, worker autonomy, and role social networks mitigating imbalances imposed by platforms. Second, investigates how algorithmic management affects workers’ their capacity for action. Lastly, proposes directions future to address enhance empowerment.
