Intrinsic motivation is a key predictor of persistence in the workplace and critical importance remote work where concerns limited connectedness are raised. Asynchronous video communication (AVC) gaining popularity among firms as potential solution to increase connectedness. Yet, there research on how extraversion trait interacts with AVC impacting intrinsic employees. Using insights from self-determination-theory, we argue that extraverts have higher needs for relatedness while introverts autonomy. Remote helps meet employees' need autonomy at expense their relatedness, fulfills but decreases In Study 1 (Study 2), measure when absent (present). Consistent our predictions, find remotely working individuals negatively affected by absent, positively present. Further, more prior experience allows maintain despite aversion AVC. Overall, results two studies provide important into impacts fostering role experience.

Abstract We investigate the impact of gendered personality traits on entrepreneurial performance male and female entrepreneurs in Lebanon during COVID-19 crisis. Using Big Five model survey data from 500 entrepreneurs, research examines how such as agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience influence business outcomes high-pressure environments. The findings reveal that agreeableness neuroticism benefit more than males crises, while conscientiousness significantly deteriorates financial entrepreneurs. Extraversion exhibit no differential effects by gender. By examining interplay between within unique context pandemic, this study contributes novel insights literature. It challenges traditional views advantages entrepreneurship, particularly highlighting underexplored positive implications nuanced role agreeableness. These provide actionable for policymakers support organisations. Specifically, fostering relational skills leveraging neuroticism’s sensitivity proactive crisis management can enhance resilience. Additionally, training programmes aimed at addressing rigidity associated with help adapt effectively volatile tailoring interventions gender-specific dynamics, these strengthen ecosystems improve resilience times uncertainty.

The purpose of this study is to explore how team members’ Big Five traits might be arranged, determining both the necessary and sufficient conditions for innovation. Utilizing a two-wave sample 307 employees from 82 teams across three Italian organizations, employs fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) condition (NCA). results showed that configurations were conducive high levels innovation: openness experience, conscientiousness extraversion; extraversion low agreeableness; agreeableness emotional stability. The objective of this study is to explore how various personality types correlate with enhanced work performance. Enneagram type the participants in experiment was established by using simplest version Riso–Hudson test. A two-way ANOVA performed under principles Design Experiments, which allowed identification main effects and interactions response, i.e., marks university teams. We found that between certain seem increase average performance as a primary effect. Conversely, when coincided within team, significantly decreased, posing risk project success. According our results, framework may be used preliminary stage for identifying potential team members future projects.

Building upon the job demands-resources model, this study examines how communication technology (CT) use in remote work relates to role clarity, coworker support, overload, and, turn, burnout enhance sustainable worker and organizational workplace practices. By analyzing non-experimental survey data from 447 U.S. workers transitioning 2020, we found that demands/resources mediated relationships between CTs burnout, with each CT linked specific demands/resources. Phone calls, email, instant messaging were associated clarity mitigating burnout. Video calls higher overload increased which can decrease sustainability. Our findings highlight importance of relation employee well-being. Supported by affordance theory, had unique associations resources demands when served as key channels during transitions.
