Historically disadvantaged higher education institutions (HDHEIs) struggle to respond the ecological demands of influencing green behaviours at workplace. HR departments are required take a leading role through adoption HRM (GHRM) practices. This study explored professionals’ experiences with implementation GHRM practices and related challenges South African HDHEI. A qualitative approach was adopted. Semi-structured interviews were conducted 19 professionals. Thematic analysis employed analyse data. The findings revealed five themes linked practices: online advertisement invitation application, recruitment selection, training development, performance management compensation reward, financial constraints, lack awareness, complexity capital as challenges. concluded that an institutional vision, mission statements values should be developed aligned promote environmental sustainability HDHEIs.

Abstract This study investigates the enhancement of technological and strategic enablers for carbon‐neutral businesses (CNB) through artificial intelligence (AI)‐driven business model innovation (AIDBMI). Drawing upon insights gained from literature review, employs structural equation modeling (partial least squares [PLS‐SEM]) as methodology to examine relationships between AIDBMI, enablers, attainment carbon neutrality. The sample size consists 326 small‐ medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) in United States America. findings this affirm significant positive AIDBMI both CNB. utilization AI technologies proves be instrumental fostering development implementation innovative models that integrate sustainability practices address environmental challenges. By leveraging SMEs can harness advancements adopt energy‐efficient processes, embrace renewable energy solutions, implement effective reduction strategies. Moreover, highlights critical role driving transition towards alignment goals with organizational strategies, stakeholder collaboration, employee engagement emerge pivotal factors enabling effectively utilize leverage achieve implications contribute existing by highlighting importance creating integrating organizations drive sustainable transformations, optimize their operations, align resource management practices. Sustainable development has elevated the role of green entrepreneurship, notably in China's electric vehicle (EV) components sector, which presents vast opportunities for SMEs. While studies have explored success and failure Green Entrepreneurial Intention, factors influencing it remain under-researched, particularly from perspective individual intentions. Existing research primarily focuses on policies, regulations, macro-environments affecting business models, with limited attention to influence entrepreneurial sustainable initiatives. This study aims bridge this gap by examining impact Perceived Attitude, Behavioural Control, Subjective Norms, Organizational Commitment Entrepreneurship using Openness Experience as a moderating factor. Data were collected through cross-sectional survey 383 SMEs China, employing simple random sampling technique. PLS-SEM regression analysis was used test hypotheses, guided Theory Planned Behaviour (TPB) (OC) theory. The findings revealed that Attitude significantly positively influences entrepreneurship Highly integrative subjective norms also correlated Furthermore, Control facilitated emerged strong moderator relationships between Norms Intention. contributes existing knowledge base highlighting gaps inconsistencies literature regarding TPB OC intention. results theoretical managerial implications, emphasizing importance fostering entrepreneurship.
