Functionalized hyper-cross-linked polymer-supported metal complexes have been developed as heterogeneous catalysts for organic synthesis and attracted much attention. In this regard, a phosphine-based neutral gold(I) complex, Au@HCPs-PPh3, which is synthesized by incorporation of [(Me2S)AuCl] into polymer, proven to be an efficient general catalyst the regioselective hydration series alkynes ketones. Furthermore, recycled six times without obvious decrease in catalytic activity.

A general method for the hydrogenation of quinones to hydroquinones under atmospheric pressure has been developed. In presence [Cp*Ir(2,2′-bpyO)(H2O)] (0.5–1 mol %), a range products were obtained in high yields. Furthemore, expansion this catalytic system 1,4-benzoquinone diimines was also presented. Abstract The synthesis of mono‐ N ‐methylated aliphatic primary amines has traditionally been challenging, requiring noble metal catalysts and high‐pressure H 2 for achieving satisfactory yields selectivity. Herein, we developed an approach the selective coupling methanol amines, without hydrogen, using a manganese‐based catalyst. Remarkably, up to 98 % with broad substrate scope were achieved at low catalyst loadings. Notably, due weak base‐catalyzed alcoholysis formamide intermediates, our novel protocol not only obviates addition but also prevents side secondary ‐methylation, supported by control experiments density functional theory calculations.

Upgrading ethanol to n-butanol as biofuels is an important topic for sustainable chemistry. Herein, a Cp*Ir complex bearing functional 2,2′-carbonylbibenzimidazole ligand [Cp*Ir(2,2′-COBiBzImH2)Cl][Cl] was designed and synthesized. In the presence of catalyst (0.1 mol %) Cs2CO3 (6 %), highest yield updated up 37% with 80% selectivity. NH units in are crucially catalytic activity iridium complex.

Abstract This review provides a comprehensive overview of mono‐alkylation methodologies targeting crucial nitrogen moieties – amines, amides, and sulfonamides found in organic building blocks pharmaceuticals. Emphasizing the intersection chemical precision with drug discovery, central challenge addressed is achieving one‐pot mono‐selective short‐chain N‐alkylations (methylations, ethylations, n ‐propylations), preventing undesired overalkylation. Additionally, sustainable, safe, benign alternatives to traditional alkylating agents, including alcohols, carbon dioxide, carboxylic acids, nitriles, alkyl phosphates, quaternary ammonium salts, carbonates, are explored. review, categorized by nature agent, aids researchers selecting suitable methods for N‐alkylation.

A water-soluble iridium complex [Cp*Ir(6,6′-(OH)2-2,2′-bpy)(H2O)][OTf]2 was found to be an efficient autotandem catalyst for the synthesis of secondary alcohols via redox isomerization/atmospheric hydrogenation in water. The OH groups bpy ligand are a key factor activity catalyst. Then, mechanistic experiments and practical utilization catalytic system were presented.

A new strategy for the synthesis of N',N'-methylaliphatic acylhydrazides from acylhydrazones via transfer hydrogenation/N-methylation with methanol as both hydrogen source and methylating reagent has been proposed accomplished. In presence [Cp*Ir(2,2'-bpyO)(H2O)] (1 mol %) Cs2CO3 (0.3 equiv), a range desired products were obtained in high yields.
