Developing efficient catalysts to degrade pollutants in water is a very important way alleviate pollution. However, it crucial but challenging broaden the functions of conventional photocatalysts and improve their environmental adaptability. In this paper, Bi(Er3+/Yb3+)OBr/polyacrylonitrile (BOB-EY/PAN) composite fibers with swallowed-embedded structure assembled nanopetal-rich microflowers were designed fabricated, integrating photocatalytic temperature-monitoring simultaneously. Their unique brings large specific surface area, doping rare earth ions improves separation efficiency electron–hole pairs, which enhances endows function at same time. Under simulated sunlight irradiation, nanofibers show maximum degradation 99.2% for tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) constant K as high 0.078 min–1. Based on fluorescence intensity ratio (FIR), two thermally coupled levels Er3+ nanofibers, 2H11/2 4S3/2, provide real-time temperature feedback, displaying relative sensitivity 0.0215 K–1 303 K. Dual-functional BOB-EY/PAN great potential industrial wastewater disposition, providing solutions purification special scenarios.
