Abstract Fatty acid photodecarboxylase (FAP) plays a crucial role in the green production of biofuel and other valuable biochemicals. However, reusability immobilized FAP has been limited due to inadequate durability. Here, porous, translucent chitosan hydrogel sphere carrier functionalized with cyclic carbonate group enhance is presented. Based on arrangement basic amino residues surface FAP, bis(cyclic carbonate) containing flexible chain from CO 2 designed synthesized. This compound used modify porous hydrogels obtained via template‐etching process. then covalently within framework through reaction remaining groups, as evidenced by quartz crystal microbalance analysis. The modified carrier, PH3‐BC‐II, significantly improves activity achieving maximum conversion 70.0%, enzyme loading 125.3 mg g −1 (dry carrier). Furthermore, PH3‐BC‐II retains >50% its initial after eight consecutive cycles (total runtime 24 h) at high fatty substrate concentrations. study provides an effective strategy for constructing stable (photo)enzymes sustainable materials.

In this work, we presented an external stimulating Pickering interfacial biocatalyst (PIB), which is a gelatin and Candida rugosa lipase (CRL) complex containing polydopamine (PDA) nanobottles (PDA@G-CRL). This created PDA are employed as emulsifiers enzyme carriers for the PIB system, showing excellent energy saving effect during reaction. They made utilizing polystyrene (PS) template technique, after entrapped with gel assistant, by exploiting photothermal properties of under near-infrared (NIR) irradiation, these may efficiently stabilize oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion cause release gelatin–lipase complex, producing effect. The encapsulated rate minimum loading in 50.76% 263 mg g–1, respectively, 3.59 times higher than that free lipase. biosynthesis phytosterol, esterification reached 78% 34 h reaction, was 3.4 single-phase 5 cycles, relative activity remained at 51.33%. particular, terms consumption, our proposed method 227 lower traditional heating methods. It believed smart able to contribute insights into green biocatalysis areas.

Single-crystalline ordered macro-microporous CuBTC shows excellent mass transfer performance and has high fatty acid stability, making it highly promising as an enzyme immobilization carrier. However, its practical application is severely limited by poor water stability. To address this challenge, we introduced a ligand, 1,2,3-benzotriazole (BTA), known for hydrophobicity strong coordination with copper. A series of CuBTC-derived dual-ligand SOM-MOFs (SOM-MIXs) was successfully synthesized enhanced improved The SOM-MIXs demonstrated superior lipase immobilization, resulting in maximum increase 66.9% specific activity. the limitation that excessive addition does not further enhance carrier may lead to structural damage, sol–gel method employed coat SOM-MIX hydrophobic PDMS, leading 139.1% immobilized exhibited catalytic remarkable reusability, 90.09% activity retention after five cycles synthesis process 1-oleoyl-2-palmitoyl-3-linoleoylglycerol (OPL) acidolysis. This work highlights potential SOM-MIX@PDMS provides valuable insights into rational design postmodification metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) diverse applications.
