Purpose Creating sustainable societies is the first step in contributing to a world. Individuals need be equipped with systems thinking (ST) skills understand complex issue such as sustainability. Preservice teachers develop strategic plans their classrooms create sustainability awareness students. This study aims investigate how preservice science and mathematics teachers, enrolled development goal (SDG)-focused ST education course, used dynamics tools articulate SDGs. Design/methodology/approach exploratory case explored use behavior over time graphs, stock-flow diagrams causal loop explain Findings The results of showed that were able deconstruct system analyze an SDG, but generally performed at moderate level. findings reveal various challenges faced by participants promising progress analyzing SDGs using tools. The study examines the determinants and consequences of firm-level Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) disclosure using a sample 6941 firm-year observations from 30 countries during 2016–2019. Based on 17 SDG indicators developed by United Nations (UN), forms an Disclosure Index. findings reveal that approximately 48.40% firms in had active stakeholder engagement programs, 53.90% maintained sustainability committee, 62.60% issued reports. indicate Environmental, Social Governance (ESG) performance, engagement, issuance standalone reports positively influence disclosure. Moreover, finds positive association between higher levels increased firm value. Our are robust battery robustness tests. Given growing global focus SDGs extent firms, this study's hold significant implications for decision-makers other stakeholders.

Day by day, soaring demand for natural resource devouring and CO2-producing material, cement in the construction industry, poses enormous ecological risk, accelerating requirement of an alternative or supplementary cementitious material (SCM). In contrast, retrieval a massive amount industrial waste needs proper attention to alleviate environmental burden. This research aims utilize three common wastes: recycled concrete dust (RCD), ladle furnace slag (LFS), pyrolysis carbon black (PCB) as SCM cement-based composites, offering sustainable approach towards green atmosphere. The study experimentally compares performance 13 different mortar mixes, substituting ordinary Portland (OPC) with varying weight percentages (0% control, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%) each waste. Including chemical composition analysis OPC binders; several physical properties, mechanical particularly compressive strength, flexural capacity, strength at elevated temperatures, activity index (SAI), durability characteristics are performed on afore-mentioned mixes. Moreover, failure pattern, microstructure, presence substances composites examined. investigation also highlights strength-CO2 emission measure economic viability considering processing charges. results satisfy ASTM standard requirements all minimum 75% SAI was achieved cases except 20% replacement level PCB. Compared conventional control mix, 5% RCD blended exhibited 9% higher strength. PCB showed continuing decline reduction up 45% level. Incorporating 10% SCM, improved obtained terms (+7.9%), (+11.7%), 800 °C (+22%), ratio (+15%), economy (+9.1%) while compromising workability (−62.7%) durability.

Understanding how society can address and mitigate threats to groundwater sustainability remains a pressing challenge in the Anthropocene era. This article presents first comprehensive critical review of coupling Groundwater Models Agent-Based (GW-ABMs) four key challenges: (1) adequately representing human behaviour, (2) capturing spatial temporal variations, (3) integrating two-way feedback loops between social physical systems, (4) incorporating water governance structures. Our findings indicate growing effort model bounded rationality behaviour (Challenge 1 or C1) dominant focus on policy applications (C4). Future research should data scarcity issues through Epstein's Backward approach (C2), capture feedbacks via tele-coupled GW-ABMs, explore other modelling techniques like Analytic Elements (C3). We conclude with recommendations thrust future GW-ABMs highest standards, aiming enhance their acceptance impact decision-making formulation for sustainable management.
