ABSTRACT Degradable polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) liquid mulch film is an effective alternative to traditional petroleum‐based mulch. However, PVA has problems such as poor water resistance and high cost in practical applications. In this work, a PCQ was prepared by simply blending quaternized lignin (QAL), carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), PVA. characterized analyzed through FT‐IR, SEM, other tests. The effects of QAL CMC on the resistance, barrier properties, retention, soil‐fixing degradation properties were investigated. results showed that addition significantly enhanced provided excellent UV shielding (90%) vapor performance (249.3 g m −2 d −1 ). addition, effectively immobilized topsoil, retained soil moisture, improved seed germination. This study provides new strategy for preparing environmentally friendly, low‐cost, degradable film.

In order to protect the ecosystem from impact of plastic film pollution, it is necessary explore biodegradable materials for producing a film. this study, mulch was prepared using biochar as fertilizer carrier, Enteromorpha polysaccharide (EP), and konjac glucomannan (KGM) film's matrix. The result Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) showed that extracted prolifera (E. prolifera) rich in hydroxyl, carboxyl, sulfonic groups. FTIR, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy proved urea successfully loaded biochar, loading capacity reached 17.8%. transmittance EP/KGM/urea-loaded (urea-BCF) less than 3%, which meets requirements black degradation rate soil can reach 68.3% after 80 days burial, indicating an excellent performance. SEM results particles were distributed uniformly membrane addition, leaching experiments release achieved equilibrium 20 h, with cumulative almost 76.9%. Residual films (RFs) disrupt the normal migration and distribution of water, salts nutrients in soil, posing a significant threat to sustainable development agriculture food security. The effect complexity RF on soil water-salt crop growth result conflicting findings previous studies. Systematic quantitative exploration thresholds is great significanse. Focusing influence agriculture, this study conducted meta-analysis 44 peer-reviewed studies using 1514 moisture data points, 568 salt 312 yield points. results showed: reduced by 2.62 %, decreased 11.72 increased salinity 4.09 %. These adverse effects were exacerbated environments with an average annual evapotranspiration (AAE) > 1800 mm, precipitation (AAP) < 500 temperature (AAT) 10°C.
