ABSTRACT Food waste is a major global challenge with profound environmental implications. As urban populations continue to grow, effective management strategies will become increasingly important. This study aims quantify food generated within mixed municipal from residential buildings and analyze its seasonal variations. It examines consumer behavior, including motivations barriers sorting. To achieve this, an analysis of questionnaire survey using computer‐assisted web interviewing were conducted gather insights residents. The revealed that accounts for approximately 19.11% waste, notable variations, particularly during the summer months, when increased volumes are observed. Fruits vegetables account largest share avoidable peak in months. results show fluctuations highlighting need targeted strategies.
