Purpose: This paper aims to apply a systems thinking perspective, specifically the system leverage point framework, enhance understanding for effectiveness of sustainable business models in achieving change towards sustainability. Design/Methodology/Approach: Conceptual paper, using an integrative research approach. Findings: The conceptual analysis shows that model archetypes largely target shallow points, which are unlikely achieve wide-ranging change. Circular-social hybrid start-ups have a remarkable potential to create environmental, social, and economic value. Despite their relevance for the sustainability transition, there is dearth of literature analysing entrepreneurial orientation how they environmental social value in business models. Therefore, present study, framed theory orientation, empirically assesses dynamics creating positive sustainable by aligning initial with activities performance. The research conducted through semi-structured interviews founders twenty European start-ups. study shows that circular-social strong but some display difficulties achieving mission. This path from mission reality identified uncovering model leverage points: scale-up growth, use digital solutions, improvement working conditions, development, alignment processes. ABSTRACT The novelty of this article lies in its focus on how mature ecosystems align their members around a new value proposition, specifically supporting circular economy entrepreneurship. We use dynamic capabilities theory to analyse the coordination and collaboration challenges entrepreneurial that seek support entrepreneurship based strategies. Drawing interviews with 34 ecosystem actors 70 ventures, as well three group discussions, we identify key hinder ecosystem's alignment: (i) lack shared understanding concept, (ii) diverse business strategies for creation, (iii) insufficient tools ventures (iv) limited interactions between specialists generalists. Overcoming these requires orchestrators holistic perspective, strong legitimacy ability mobilize ecosystem‐level resources. These must foster vision (sensing), promote investment expertise (seizing) adapt evolving needs (reconfiguring). Using context, contribute by highlighting importance materiality, emergence geographically unbound role non‐market exchanges.
