Unraveling the complexity of 17 interacting sustainable development goals (SDGs) is crucial for their achievement. Empirically revealing dimensions SDGs helps generalize dominant features and better understand drivers. Here, using a database 166 countries' progress toward achieving each individual SDG, we found that about 70% variability national SDG performance can be captured by three dimensions: socioeconomic at expense resource climate, environment, equality. Moreover, these are mainly affected economy; as gross domestic product (GDP) per capita increases, first dimension increases monotonically, environment decreases then inequality decreases. Our findings indicate dim prospect eventually all because conflicts between economic growth climate under current paradigm, highlighting importance transformation.

Studying the trends of countries in past has a significant impact on developing their future roadmaps and efficient policies energy sector. This paper examines performance BRICS G7 field environment. In this regard, 3 indicators related to energy, i.e., intensity, import use renewable resources, environment, greenhouse gas emissions, CO2 emissions intensity were selected. Using an optimization model based Holt-Winters, values these obtained for studied 2040 horizon. Finally, by using KEMIRA method, base forecast year was evaluated. The findings reveal that projected year, excelled with higher emphasis ranking, whereas developed economies showed better greater contribution ordering. Recommendations mature include prioritizing environmental taxes, investing clean technologies, embracing circular economy, securing critical mineral supply chains. For nations, balanced transition is advised, leveraging natural as transitional fuel, financing renewables, advancing carbon capture, electric vehicles, hydrogen technologies. Although various dynamic influence countries' policy-making process performance, research provides general perspective key players global economy.

The critical concerns regarding hazardous organic dyes, which cause significant harm to human health and environmental sustainability, require immediate attention. This study demonstrates the development of an innovative disposable electrochemical sensor that employs thiosulfate-modified graphitic carbon nitride (gC3N4-S2O3) nanosheets as class-selective cost-efficient flexible plastic electrodes for remote, handheld monitoring cationic dyes─a class perilous water-soluble pollutants. is capable detecting several such methylene blue (MB), rhodamine B (RhB), thionine (Th), simultaneously in drinking water. Modified gC3N4-S2O3 were produced using a straightforward sonochemical-assisted method, followed by thermal condensation treatment. material characterized Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), impedance spectroscopy (EIS), cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse (DPV). DPV measurements span wide range dye concentrations, ranging from 1 nM mM. Under optimized conditions, exhibits excellent performance, with picomolar limits detection (LOD), i.e., 118 pM Th, 161 RhB, 209 MB, respectively. utilizes electrostatic interactions distinguish between anionic dyes dyes. also enhanced capability detect solutions, complex mixtures, water samples, indicating minimal interference ionic species inherently present work highlights potential sensors application remediation environment.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a comprehensive framework for societal progress and planetary health. However, it remains unclear whether universal patterns exist in how nations pursue these goals key development areas are being overlooked. Abstract Urban agglomerations are growth poles that promote regional economic development; however, rapid expansion exerts an increasingly negative influence on ecosystem security, restricting sustainable urban development. Therefore, predicting the impact of future ecological security can guide regionally coordinated In this study, we used land-use data to determine spatiotemporal evolution urbanization and land use in Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) agglomeration from 1990 2020 employed artificial neural network–cellular automata (ANN–CA)–Markov model simulate under three different scenarios for 2025 2035.
