Purpose The textile and apparel (T&A) industry is one of the most prominent waste-generating industries criticized for environmental social sustainability. This research work aims to demonstrate crucial enablers implementing circular economy (CE) in Bangladesh’s T&A industry. Design/methodology/approach followed a purposive sampling method three stages data collection from small expert focus group. study employed two integrated Fuzzy methods: fuzzy total interpretive structural modeling (TISM) decision-making trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) evaluate CE enablers. Findings TISM model discovered that stakeholder involvement impactful enabler practices Bangladeshi Consequently, DEMATEL revealed causal relationships among identified effective reverse logistic process as enabler. Abstract Circular economy (CE) is the way forward to protect an endangered environment, promote social justice, and advance sustainable balanced regional economic development. The proliferation of CE concept circular startup (CSU) boom coincides with digital transformation, a socioeconomic change propelled by widespread adoption technologies. This paper uses systems theory perspective study entrepreneurial ecosystem's (DEE) role in CSU formation. Fuzzy‐set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) used empirically explore configurational recipes for presence absence high formation rate. results reveal that formation, DEE elements, such as protection access, act critical drivers, while other elements take on supportive role. findings also show complementarity effects, substitution neutral permutations among configurations.

The challenges encountered by established firms transforming their linear business models into circular (CBMs) have received extensive research attention. Such experience and market foothold but tend to adopt an incremental approach CBMs due risks of model cannibalization. Circular Economy (CE) is a necessary intervention for enabling resource efficiency, energy conservation, waste minimization, and sustainability within the construction industry (CI). Among its many facets, circular procurement (CP) nascent concept that enables CE in CI. Despite extensive literature review studies conducted on intricacies, critical documenting barriers to adoption of CP CI remain scarce. This study systematically reviews existing retrieved from Scopus database. Circular start-ups (CSUs) are crucial for implementing a circular economy; yet, little research has been undertaken on the specific barriers they face. Through case study of CSUs in Dutch plastics industry, we identify several key encompassing technology dependence, poor credibility, constrained resources, collaboration challenges, lack knowledge and inadequate institutional support. Additionally, highlight four success factors (SFs) that enable to compete plastics: value proposition design, market sensitivity, networking prowess ambidexterity. Our shows can enact these SFs as strategies-in-use overcome barriers. Yet still, continue focusing recycling-centric business models, limiting their potential drive transition more radically along waste hierarchy. This calls support from various entities such entrepreneurial ecosystems well multi-stakeholder perspective considers models interdependent with other actors chain.

Perception and awareness can affect behaviour decision-making, for example, how companies implement Circular Economy (CE) practices. However, there is limited empirical research about this topic. Thus, we investigated the perception of representatives from water-intensive bio-based sectors regarding CE concept based on interviews a survey with 10 in Sweden. Our results indicate that understood mainly as zero waste its key principles are resource efficiency ecodesign. Missing (or partially addressed) important elements consumption, social aspects, regenerative role CE, collaboration, Industrial Symbiosis.
