This article investigates the dynamic impact of green energy consumption (GE), financial inclusion (FI), and military spending (MS) on environmental sustainability (ES) by utilizing a sample 121 countries from 2003 to 2022. The dataset is divided into high-income, upper-middle income low lower-middle-income countries. We employed two-step system GMM approach, which was further robust through panel Quantile Driscoll-Kraay (D-K) regressions. findings divulged that resources benefit ES at global all levels because having significant negative 5.9% ecological footprints. At same time, FI MS significantly enhance footprints 7% 6.9%, respectively, proving these factors detrimental ES. Moreover, conflicts (CON), terrorism (TM), institutional quality (IQ), socioeconomic conditions (SEC) also have positive association with most level groups. Dissimilarly, armed non-significant influence in low-income high-income countries, respectively. Furthermore, enhances negatively affecting reduces research provides imperative policy inferences accomplish various SDGs.

Global warming has progressed into a pressing global concern, primarily driven by human activities. To address this issue, it is vital to identify the key drivers of ecological quality and develop effective policies in response. Consequently, study seeks empirically examine causal effect financial globalization, economic growth, policy uncertainty, oil consumption on load capacity factor (LF) Brazil. The analysis utilizes quarterly data spanning from 1990 2021. In pursuit, introduces an array quantile-based methodologies, encompassing quantile ADF, PP, KPSS tests, as well innovative Quantile-on-Quantile Granger Causality (QQGC) approach. QQGC represents notable advancement beyond traditional causality (QGC) methods, accounts for conditional distribution dependent independent variables. This bridges critical gap existing literature introducing capture influence regressors LF. findings derived indicate that significantly predict LF across all quantiles. These results offer valuable insights can inform formulation strategies aimed at addressing mitigating impacts warming.

Abstract Poverty, unemployment, and environmental degradation are growing issues significant challenges to sustainable development. They visible obstacles achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The three ZEROS (zero net carbon emissions, zero poverty, unemployment) within SDGs have not yet been thoroughly explored need be empirically examined. This is primary aim of this study, which focuses on 10 developing countries in Asia & Pacific. study utilized panel data from 1997 2021 a stochastic impact by regression population, affluence, technology (STIRPAT) model implemented second‐generation unit root test, cross‐sectional augmented autoregressive distributed lags (CS‐ARDL), fully modified ordinary least squares (FMOLS) approaches, Granger‐causality test. empirical results CS‐ARDL approach vindicate that poverty contributes deterioration proxied CO 2 while unemployment rate inhibits damage. other regressors, namely national income real gross domestic product per capita, energy use, population harming environment, technological innovation digitalization reduce degradation. These re‐corroborated implementing FMOLS estimator. Granger causality reveal bidirectional between Therefore, it essential for management authorities implement pragmatic public policies focus development strategies, such as investing education stimulating economic growth. will help improve living standards, decrease ultimately achieve Three Zeros Club initiative goals.

Design/methodology/approach The examines effects spending, income, green trade, human development index on using various econometric approaches, which cointegration test, moments quantile regression robustness test. Findings findings demonstrate that all factors, excluding quite likely affect expansion supply. Military negatively influences supply; specifically, a 1% increase results 0.88 reduction In addition, whereas income elasticity, OECD higher last quantiles than first quantiles, influence innovation about same quantiles. Practical implications must consider practical implications, essential assess update countries from perspective transition clean energy. Abstract Low-carbon development is important to reduce global warming, allow people live in normal temperatures and climates, limit the loss of labor productivity by avoiding air pollution. However, greenwashing prevents low-carbon making companies appear more eco-friendly than they are. Therefore, this study examines influence financial technology (FinTech) credit implementation Pilot Low Carbon Project on corporate China from 2015 2021. The uses method moment quantile regression (MMQR) determine that FinTech low- carbon projects prevent behavior promote environmentally sustainable practices China. Fintech plays a crucial role monitoring environmental impact urban development, especially context City Initiative. Credit experiences notable reduction higher quantiles, between 75th 95th culminating significant decrease approximately − 0.07. Companies outside low city areas consistently experience negative greenwashing. This investigation contributes significantly discourse interplay greenwashing, development. It also provides valuable insights for strategies aimed at mitigating misleading claims made companies.
