Abstract Top oil importer countries produce large amounts of carbon emission and pollute soil water, threatening sustainable development. Given this issue, study examines the impact solar energy consumption, wind natural resources rent on environmental conditions top five oil‐importing (China, United States, India, Japan, South Korea) for period 1997–2021. In context, analyzes validity Kuznets curve load capacity hypotheses using novel regularized common correlated effects method. The effect results show that are valid consumption supports quality by helping to reduce emissions increase factor. However, usage have no ecological quality. Based these outcomes, importers can provide a better environment their societies promoting while taking concerns into account.

Analysing the impact of green finance policies on urban energy efficiency contributes to finding solutions promote development China's low-carbon system and global reduction greenhouse gas emissions. Utilizing Chinese data from 2006 2021, study employs an enhanced non-radial distance function (NDDF) model evaluate 282 prefecture-level cities. It examines 'Green Finance Reform Innovation Pilot Zone' policy as a quasi-natural experiment. uses double machine learning analyze its effect mechanisms.
