This paper introduces an adaptive filtering algorithm based on the Laplacian continuous mixed-norm (LCMN) as a control methodology to improve both transient and dynamic wind energy systems (WESs) performances. The foundation of this system is variable-speed turbine that powers permanent magnet synchronous generator. proposed LCMN automatically updates all interface circuits' proportional-integral (PI) controllers gains. It has several advantages compared with other algorithms such higher stability, lower fluctuations steady-state errors. efficacy LCMN-based PI approach validated by fair comparison methods least mean square, robust mixed norm p-norm when WES subjected severe symmetrical various unbalanced conditions. Furthermore, applicability suggested technique examined in typical operational circumstances utilizing actual speed measurements obtained from Hokkaido Island. results indicate preferable performance analyses even though profile intermittent.. responses exhibit actuating error less than 2% across numerous profiles. As global energy demand continues to rise, integrating renewable sources (RES) into power systems has become increasingly important. However, the intermittent nature of RES, such as solar and wind, presents challenges for maintaining a stable supply. To address this issue, storage are essential. One promising technology is micro-compressed air (micro-CAES), which stores excess compressed releases it when needed balance supply demand. This study investigates integration micro-CAES with RES in 19-home microgrid northern Portugal. The research aims evaluate effectiveness configuration that includes 100 kW PV, 70 wind power, 50 kWh system. Using real-world data on electricity consumption local potential, simulation conducted assess performance findings reveal can up 68.8% annual demand, significantly reducing reliance external grid enhancing system’s resilience. These results highlight potential improve efficiency sustainability small-scale systems, demonstrating its value key component future solutions.

This study designed and validated a power control algorithm tailored to the unique characteristics of 100 kW wind turbine equipped with an independent generator torque system within Power Conversion System (PCS). Unlike conventional methods based on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), in PCS estimates speed voltage signal performs without any interference from PLC. The PLC was modified so that could perform by blade pitch only. Furthermore, mode transition improve shortcomings switch previously used for transitioning between modes.
