Understanding the impact of land ownership on household food security is crucial for achieving sustainable rural and agricultural development in developing countries through improved farm performance. Using a multistage sampling technique to collect data from 156 urban farmers, this study analysed farmers Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal Province South Africa. This employed probit model evaluate drivers among while marginal treatment effects was address selection bias attributed observed unobserved characteristics. The analysis status reveals varying degrees insecurity, with majority households experiencing mild insecurity smaller proportion facing moderate insecurity. Climate change presents significant risks to marginalized communities, particularly in tribal groups like the Bhil and Bhilala communities of Madhya Pradesh, India.
