Lipase has been used extensively in the industrial sector for edible fats and oils processing. However, its scale application is often hampered by limitations such as low stability poor reusability. A countermeasure taken lipase immobilization which a technique to confine enzyme molecules within fixed space while maintaining catalytic activity. This usually enhances allows reusability together with other advantages like simple product separation better design options bioreactor. Meanwhile, involves high cost thus making them less attractive certain applications (e.g., monoglyceride diglyceride production, vitamin C esters synthesis) compared chemical catalysts. Their lower activity free catalysts also challenge that needs be overcome. The use of biolubricants as an alternative to petroleum-based products has played important role in the last decade. Due encouragement global policies, which mainly support green chemistry and circular economy, there been increasing interest bio-based products, including biolubricants, from scientific industrial points view. Their raw materials, production, characteristics might vary, present different applications for a wide range practical uses, making this field continuously changing subject study by researchers. aim work was biolubricant production vegetable oil crops bio-refinery perspective, paying attention main materials used, corresponding methods (with special focus on double transesterification), catalysts some techno-economic studies. Thus, factors affecting quality parameters such viscosity or oxidative stability have covered, catalyst addition, reaction temperature, reagents, additives were also analyzed.
