To
address
the
challenges
of
twenty-first
century,

change,
mitigation
measures
such

Nature-based
Solutions
(NbS)
are
being
employed.
Vegetation,
a

NbS
interventions,
provides
different
ecosystem
services
that
help
combat
current
climate-related
vulnerabilities.
This
research
aims
to
illustrate
connection
between
plants’
contribution
adapting
change
and
creation
more
sustainable
spaces,
focusing
on
usage
bioretention
systems
(BRs)
an
example
NbS.
Some
main
aspects
how
vegetation
is
selected
for
BRs
according
qualities
may
contribute

landscapes,
along

Abstract
Urban
flooding
is
a
key
global
challenge
which
expected
to
become
exacerbated
under
change
due
more
intense
rainfall
and
flashier
runoff
regimes
over
increasingly
urban
landscapes.
Consequently,

cities
are
rethinking
their
approach
flood
risk
management
by
using
green
infrastructure
(GI)
solutions
