This study provides a comprehensive overview of the challenges to achieving carbon neutrality at county level in China and offers targeted recommendations, laying groundwork for future specialized research this area. A total 283 relevant studies (2004–2023) were analyzed assess county-level emissions through three phases: bibliometric analysis, frontier prospects. Bibliometric findings reveal that publication trends largely influenced by domestic foreign policies. Keyword cluster discerns ten primary themes, ranging from conceptual frameworks methodologies. The analysis literature highlights leading areas, which include pathway, driving factors, spatiotemporal variation emissions, co-effects pollutants reduction, China's rural areas. Drawing results analyses, elucidates recommendations perspectives: effective regional policy guidance, emphasis on ecological conservation, deployment advanced reduction sequestration technologies. enriches body knowledge holds significant implications push towards its objectives.

A high-resolution carbon dioxide emission inventory is essential for accurate assessment and management. This study used a top-down spatial proxy model to develop (1 km) East Asia from 2012 2021. Combining multiple data sources with geographically weighted regressions can improve the accuracy of distribution sectors within inventories. To demonstrate accuracy, we compared our existing inventories, such as Multi-resolution Emission Inventory China, which uses 'bottom-up' approach. We outline discuss convergence divergence in estimation results different approaches, finding generally consistent results. Based on grid, nationally, China accounted over 80% Asia's emissions, followed by Japan South Korea. The hotspot driver analyses reveal persistent hotspots Northern Eastern well new trends Northwestern China. main drivers emissions growth are economic changes energy mix. cold regions vary depending regional characteristics. Actionable insights provided targeted reduction strategies. Continued occurred across period 2012-2021, emerged Northwest according Asia.

In recent years, global environmental issues have become increasingly prominent. The transportation industry, as the fundamental sector of national economic development, is also characterized by high energy consumption and carbon emissions. Therefore, it imperative to conduct research on emission problem within this industry. light Tapio decoupling model, an analysis correlation between traffic emissions development in Guangdong province during 1999–2019 was carried out. With aim encouraging province’s low-carbon factors affecting industry are analyzed utilizing generalized Divisia index model (GDIM). We introduced passenger freight turnover influencing factor for analysis. findings indicate that (1) increased from 1999 2019; (2) emissions’ effect mainly “weakly decoupled”, overall not strong province; (3) among factors, effects production value volume at forefront, has gradually exceeded years. suppression intensity relatively large, while transport weak. Based this, strategies were proposed promote a cleaner mix, improve use efficiency, create savings, develop green technologies, foster restructuring transportation.
