This paper takes the Fuyang River in North China Plain as an example, utilizing optimized phosphate oxygen isotope (δ18OP) preprocessing method and extensively collecting watershed phosphorus (P) source overlying water δ18OP data. Under premise of validating application δ18OP, this study enhances Bayesian mixing model priors using end-member iteratively corrects total load to achieve quantitative identification P sources at both administrative division scales during rainy season. It also summarizes a methodological framework for watersheds. The results show that scale amounted 241.36 kg/d, with contributions from tributary inflow, sediments, riparian soils, wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) effluents, street dust, accounting 38.8, 23.4, 17.3, 16.2, 4.3%, respectively. Variations loads across divisions reflect regional economic land-use diversity. management strategies should adopt region-specific approaches, considering diverse land uses their effects on transport. demonstrates δ18OP's effectiveness quantitatively identifying multiscale calculating season, providing technical support precise reduction.

Zanthoxylum bungeanum residue has attracted increasing attention owing to its antibacterial effect, which presents potential as novel antimicrobial agents for the management of algal blooms. In this study, ability Z. extract control blooms been firstly verified. Then, response surface methodology was employed optimize flavonoids yield, primary component in extract, and underlying photosynthetic inhibition mechanisms on Tetrodesmus obliquus investigated. Results showed that highest yield total increased 4.08% when extraction conditions were a liquid-to-solid ratio 10:1, ethanol concentration 60%, temperature 80°C, time 30 min. Meanwhile, treatment with at doses 40.0 mg/L significantly decreased Fv/Fm PIabs values T. by 24.36 88.87% 50 h, respectively. The added induced damage multiple levels physiological biochemical processes cells, including reduced electron transport capability, disrupted energy transfer photosystem II, disruption OEC structure, altered distribution PSII reaction center. To our knowledge, study first verification residue’s algicidal potential, these findings contribute deeper understanding allelopathic offer valuable insights

Coastal eutrophication has become a persistent environmental crisis around world driven by human activities and climate change. Nowadays, frequent intense tropical typhoon disturbances strongly affected the distribution composition of nutrients in land-ocean interface, resulting risk coastal water. However, mechanistic links between land-based sources transport have not been well understood due to complex processes. In this study, nutrient concentration, flux three estuaries one sewage outlet Zhanjiang Bay (ZJB) were analyzed. Before typhoon, average concentrations dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN), phosphorus (DIP) silicate (DSi) source ZJB 61.77 ± 28.56 μmol/L, 6.79 4.61 113.26 64.52 respectively. The concentration DIN decreased approximately 41.8%, DIP increased 46.2%, DSi 1.7% after Typhoon Kompasu made landfall. At same time, DIN/DIP DIN/DSi outlets estuary landfall much smaller than Redfield ratio, indicating different degrees limitation. addition, significant spatial temporal variations fluxes observed before typhoon. total input DIN, DIP, outfall 9.98 × 10 4 mol/h, 1.38 9.78 contrast, 3.21 3 3.01 5.20 mol/h. After entering sea from changed significantly compared with those Moreover, model discharge established, which can estimate based on field investigation. This study reveals effects event into semi-enclosed ZJB, provides scientific basis for further research impacts typhoons enrichment waters, as deepening understanding ecosystem under
