Globally, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of death, and their prevention treatment continue to face major challenges. Oxylipins, as novel circulating markers disease, are crucial mediators linking risk factors such inflammation platelet activation, they play an important role in unraveling pathogenesis therapeutic mechanisms. Chinese herbal medicine plays adjuvant diseases, which has predominantly focused on key pathways classic lipids, inflammation, oxidative stress elucidate mechanisms diseases. However,The regulatory effect traditional oxylipins remains largely unknown. With increasing number recent reports regulation by it is necessary comprehensively from perspective oxylipins. This approach not only benefits further research targets medicine, but also brings new perspectives

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common long-lasting that affects millions of people around the world. It best identified with hepatic fat build-up ultimately leads to inflammation and damage. The classification nomenclature NAFLD have long been controversial topic, until 2020 when group international experts recommended substituting MAFLD (metabolic dysfunction-associated FLD). was then terminologically complemented in 2023 by altering it MASLD, i.e., metabolic steatotic (MASLD). Both MASLD terminologies comprise element disorder, as they offer diagnostic benchmarks are embedded risk factors underlie disease. (as multisystemic disease) provides comprehensive definition includes larger population patients who at morbidity mortality, well adverse cardiovascular diabetes outcomes. highlights risks lean or normal weight individuals, factor has not accentuated discussed previous guidelines. Novel antihyperglycemic agents, anti-hyperlipidemic drugs, lifestyle modifications, nutritional interventions, exercise therapies extensively studied MASLD. Nutrition plays vital role managing both conditions, where centralizing on diet rich whole vegetables, fruits, foods, healthy fats, proteins, specific nutrients (e.g., omega-3 acids fibers) can improve insulin resistance reduce inflammation. Thus, essential understand nutrition these conditions work develop an individualized plan for optimal health. This review discusses prevention strategies NAFLD/MAFLD/MASLD management, particular attention correction.

Abstract Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been widely used for several centuries metabolic diseases, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). At present, NAFLD become the most prevalent form of chronic worldwide and can progress to steatohepatitis (NASH), cirrhosis, even hepatocellular carcinoma. However, there is still a lack effective treatment strategies in Western medicine. The development driven by multiple mechanisms, genetic factors, insulin resistance, lipotoxicity, mitochondrial dysfunction, endoplasmic reticulum stress, inflammation, gut microbiota dysbiosis, adipose tissue dysfunction. Currently, certain drugs, sensitizers, statins, vitamin E, ursodeoxycholic acid betaine, are proven be beneficial clinical NAFLD. Due its complex pathogenesis, personalized that integrates various mechanisms may provide better benefits patients with holistic view syndrome differentiation TCM have advantages treating NAFLD, which similar principles In TCM, primarily classified into five types based on experience. It located closely related spleen kidney functions. due multi-component characteristics traditional medicine, application considerably limited. this review, we summarize advances pathogenesis drawn from both perspectives. We highlight complementary should receive increased attention prevention

In this study, the antifatigue effect and mechanism of peanut sprouts were explored. BALB/c mice divided into three groups (control, dark UV-C) respectively supplemented with a normal diet, (dark germination) added diet stilbenes-enriched (UV-C radiated diet. Results showed that swimming time levels blood glucose antioxidant enzymes significantly increased, while contents triglyceride malondialdehyde notably decreased by sprout supplementation. Besides, combined analysis gut microbiota gene sequencing targeted metabolomics fecal metabolites revealed supplementation up-regulated abundances metabolic transformations Catenibacillus, Odoribacter, Prevotellaceae-UCG-001 Butyricicoccus it down-regulated abundance Parabacteroides. Consequently, sebacic acid, azelaic suberic heptanoic pimelic aminoadipic acid mono-phenolics which markedly correlated effect. Obesity rates are rising globally and have become a major public health issue. Recent research emphasizes the bidirectional communication between gut microbiota mitochondrial function in obesity development. Gut regulates energy metabolism through metabolites that impact processes, such as oxidative phosphorylation, biogenesis, autophagy. In turn, alterations homeostasis. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), which encompasses TCM formulas of botanical drugs, employs holistic integrative approach shows promise regulating microbiota-mitochondrial crosstalk. This review systematically explores intricate interactions function, underscoring their crosstalk critical mechanistic axis pathogenesis. Furthermore, it highlights potential developing innovative, targeted interventions, paving way for personalized approaches treatment precise modulation interactions, offering more effective individualized therapeutic options.
