Currently, the population is experiencing severe water stress mainly due to high consumption by industries. Food and beverage processing consumes up 90% of freshwater, resulting in large volumes wastewater that often treated with complex, costly environmentally damaging processes. While CuS/TiO₂ has been previously synthesized and employed in a limited number of photodegradation studies, the current study investigated its effectiveness for TC degradation under UV-visible light irradiation. CuS is known to be nontoxic, environmentally friendly material; hence, it great potential as an alternative CdS CdSe, which are used conventionally sensitizers. In this work, photocatalysts achieved maximum 95 % removal at initial concentration 20 ppm, confirming good utilization active sites. Even though efficiency decreased higher concentrations due saturation sites, values quantum yield showed that photon was still effective. Consequently, photocatalyst optimum 0.20 g, further addition increased rather insignificantly. near-complete mineralization by composite with few byproducts, reusability excellent because almost consistent performance successive cycles. These results confirm continuous relevance practical, sustainable solution organic pollutant degradation, reinforcing value environmental remediation applications.

This study conducts a scientometric review on the use of geopolymer mortar and composites in different construction applications. It aims to analyze findings past research reveal constituents, development trends, knowledge gaps. The Scopus database was employed retrieve relevant publications, while Bibliometrix used conduct statistical analyses.
