Recently, there have been reports on the immunomodulatory properties of polysaccharides (PP), oligosaccharides (PO), and mixtures PO/PP derived from Porphyra. To explore their potential in alleviating allergic responses enteric dysbiosis, this study delved deeper into effects using a murine model food allergy. Daily administration Porphyra samples mitigated diarrhea, enteritis, allergen-specific IgE production. Moreover, exerted significant reduction secretion IL-2, IL-4, IFN-γ, IL-17A, along with an elevation IL-10/IL-4 ratio splenocytes upon allergen stimulation. Similarly, expression IL-4 IFN-γ duodenum was suppressed. Notably, mice displayed distinct fecal microflora profile compared to that normal mice. Interestingly, PP PO treatments exhibited different improving dysbiosis. These findings collectively suggest as functional candidates for management enteritis
