Abstract
Cardiovascular
diseases
(CVDs)
contribute
to
major
public
health
issues.
Some
studies
have
found
that
caffeic
acid
(CA)
and
phenethyl
ester
(CAPE)
may
effectively
prevent
or
treat
CVDs.
However,
there
is
a
need
sum
up
our
current
understanding
of
the
possible
beneficial
detrimental
effects
CA
CAPE
on
CVDs
related
mechanisms.
Therefore,
this
study
aimed
summarize
data
topic.
A
methodical
search
was
carried
out
key
databases,
including
Pubmed,
Google
Scholar,
Scopus,
Web
Science,
from
beginning
June
2024.
Studies
were
then
assessed
for
eligibility
based
inclusion
exclusion
criteria.
Treatment
with
significantly
positively
affected
cardiovascular
in
various
aspects,
atherosclerotic
diseases,
myocardial
infarction,
hypertension,
cardiac
arrhythmias,
hypercoagulation

Natural
Park
(NPSE)
in
Portugal
stands
out
as
a
well-preserved
region
abundant
medicinal
plants,
particularly
known
for
their
pharmaceutical
applications
diabetes
prevention
and
treatment.
This
comprehensive
review
explores
these
plants’
botanical
diversity,
traditional
uses,
pharmacological
applications,
chemical
composition.
NPSE
boast
rich
diversity
with
138
plants
across
55
families
identified
traditionally
pharmacologically
used
against
globally.
Notably,
the
Asteraceae
Lamiaceae
are
prevalent
antidiabetic
applications.
In
vitro
studies
have
revealed
significant
inhibition
of
carbohydrate-metabolizing
enzymes,
certain
plant
co-products
regulate
genes
involved
carbohydrate
metabolism
insulin
secretion.

trials
demonstrated
effects,
including
glycaemia
regulation,
secretion,
antioxidant
activity,
lipid
profile
modulation.
Medicinal
exhibit

ABSTRACT
Dietary
exposure
to
acrylamide
is
almost
unavoidable
and
may
result
into
long‐term
consequences.
It
has
been
reported
cause
sexual
dysfunction
even
infertility.
This
study
aimed
investigate
the
protective
effects
of
caffeic
acid
against
acrylamide‐induced
reproductive
in
male
rats.
Group
1
served
as
control;
group
2
received
at
a
dose
40
mg/kg
for
10
days.
In
groups,
3–6,
was
given
2,
followed
by
therapy
(10,
20,
30,
mg/kg)
