This study examines how digital economy development in China impacts the urban–rural income gap. We construct a index using panel data from 30 provinces and cities 2013 to 2021. By combining spatially varying coefficient model with chain–mediated effect model, we quantify impact of on gap examine its spatial heterogeneity. The results show that influences through four different pathways, each which exhibits significant variation. As these paths offset other, Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Guangdong, other has widened gap, resulting divide effect. This paper investigates the impact of digital transformation on innovation within agribusiness sector, both theoretically and empirically, through an examination Chinese A-share agriculture-related listed companies spanning from 2011 to 2021. The findings suggest that significantly enhances capability agribusiness, while concurrently fostering improvements its quality. In the digital economy era, pathways of transformation and intelligent development have emerged as crucial avenues for enterprises' high-quality development. Focusing on listed private enterprises from 2011 to 2020, this study uses text mining extract keywords related transformation, disclosed in annual reports.
