Calcium
oxide
nanoparticles
(CaO
NPs)
have
unique
catalytic
and
biological
properties;
their
activities
are
highly
influenced
by
morphology;
as
a
result,
these
characteristics
most
needed
for
various
applications
in
several
fields,
including
material
science,
environmental
medicinal
science.
The
primary
motivation
synthesizing
CaO
NPs
using
method
is
to
suppress
the
usage
of
hazardous
chemicals
used
making
its
process,
which
will
be
more
cost‐effective
ecologically
profitable.
However,
due
complexity
extracts
employed
chemical
processes,
large‐scale
manufacturing
via
green
synthesis
approach
remains
significant
problem.

Moringa
oleifera
plant
leaves
aqueous
extract

The
present
study
evaluated
the
anticancer
potential
of
copper
oxide
nanoparticles
(CuO
NPs)
synthesized
from
pumpkin
seed
extract
in
human
breast
cancer
cell
line
(MDA‐MB‐231)
using
a
battery
tests
such
as
MTT
[3‐(4,5‐dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐diphenyltetrazolium
bromide]
assay,
morphological
alteration,
reactive
oxygen
species
(ROS)
generation,
and
changes
mitochondrial
membrane
(MMP).
biogenic
CuO
NPs
showed
dose‐dependent
decline
viability
with
50%
inhibitory
concentration
(IC50)
at
20
μ
g/ml.
Treatment
an
IC50
dose
resulted
considerable
morphology
changes,
shrinkage,
detachment,
blebbing,
deformed
shape
MDA‐MB‐231
cells.
We
also
observed
significant
increase
ROS
production
MMP
modulation
due
to
NP
treatment.
