Aging-related disorders pose significant challenges due to their complex interplay of physiological and metabolic factors, including inflammation, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction. Curcumin, a natural compound with potent antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties, has emerged as promising candidate for mitigating these age-related processes. However, gaps in understanding the precise mechanisms curcumin’s effects optimal dosages different conditions necessitate further investigation. This systematic review synthesizes current evidence on potential addressing disorders, emphasizing its impact cognitive function, neurodegeneration, muscle health older adults. By evaluating safety, efficacy, action curcumin supplementation, this aims provide insights into therapeutic promoting healthy aging. Polyphenols comprise many natural chemical compounds be helpful managing metabolic diseases. Therefore, aim review was investigate impact oxidative stress, inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction, role polyphenols MAFLD. O óleo de semente romã (PSO) é reconhecido por seus benefícios em aplicações biomédicas devido à presença compostos como ácido púnico e ursólico, que demonstraram eficácia no combate a processos antitumorais anti-inflamatórios. Sua utilização tem sido explorada tratamento diversos tipos câncer, incluindo mama, bexiga, pele, próstata, cólon visão, destacando-se sua capacidade induzir apoptose bloquear o ciclo celular das células tumorais. Além disso, atividade anti-inflamatória antioxidante torna promissor doenças neurológicas, esclerose múltipla, demência declínio cognitivo. A pesquisa bibliográfica abrangeu um período cinco anos (2019-2024), utilizando plataformas científicas Science Direct PubMed, concentrou-se fornecer levantamento abrangente atualizado sobre as terapêuticas do romã. Os estudos revisados destacaram vasto potencial terapêutico da romã, especialmente aos polifenóis, evidenciando prevenção várias doenças, cognitivo, metabólicas inflamatórias.
