Water-soluble
lignin-carbohydrate
complex
(LCC)
rich
in
polysaccharides
exhibits
benign
vitro
antioxidant
activities
and
distinguishes
high
biocompatibility
from
lignin-rich
LCC
lignin.
However,
the
activity
of
water-soluble
LCCs
remains
to
be
improved
its
structure-antioxidant
relationship
is
still
uncertain.
Herein,
structurally
diversified
were
isolated
under
different
ball-milling
pretreatment
durations
(4,
6,
8
h),
extraction
pathways
(homogeneous
heterogeneous),
isolation
routines
(water
extracts
residues
after
water
extraction).
Their
structures
characterized
by
wet
chemistry,
chromatography
spectroscopies.
Antioxidant
evaluated
ferric
reducing
power
1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl
radicals
scavenging
rate
(RDPPH).
Results
show
that
altering
duration
procedures
causes
varied
LCCs.
Specifically,
prolonging
hours
homogeneous
can
enhance
their
through
releasing
more
phenolic
promoting
high-molecular-weight
via
mass-transfer
resistance,
respectively.
As
a
result,
RDPPH
reaches
up
97.35%,
which
associated
with
arabinan
content
statistical
significance
(P
<
0.05).
This
study
provides
new
insights
into
structure-antioxidation
herbaceous
as
potential
antioxidants.
