The construction sector is one of the main contributors to carbon dioxide (CO2) emission and causes global warming. CO2 mitigation solutions are vital. New technologies can facilitate improve these efforts. Thus, paper reviews how new artificial intelligence machine learning have contributed emissions reduction in what techniques been applied literature provide significant information that will be beneficial for design management. provides results a content review, including their contributions gaps. This study aims to identify critical factors of the sustainability index (SI) and evaluate industries listed in stock exchange based on performance this index. For purpose, a new fuzzy decision-making model has been created. Firstly, 12 different criteria for SI are weighted by decision using trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) methodology quantum spherical sets (QFS) with golden cut. Within the building construction sector, fiber cement boards have attracted interest as facade cladding materials in last ten years, especially those that incorporate –for reinforcing purposes– natural and/or recycled synthetic fibers (i.e, from textile industry). So far, design-governing parameters of panels been mechanical strength, durability, constructability, aesthetics, insulation capacity, and fire resistance. From sustainability perspective, impact on economic energy efficiency performance is most often parameter leads decision-making process. this context, quantification –accounting for economic, environmental, social indicators– unfrequently carried out design project phases, being attributed to lack methodologies allow considering quantifying some relevant indicators representative performance. As one of the main and largest components, facades make a determining contribution to sustainability performance whole building. Thus, selecting optimal wall system is key challenge for designers, especially on multi-material facades. To meet requirements (i.e., cost, energy performance, aesthetics, maintainability) determined by stakeholders client, authorities, designers), this selection involves many variables, several which are subjective uncertain, leading challenging decision-making process. In the search of more environmentally-friendly construction materials, use natural-based fibers has gained much attention as reinforcement in inorganic-based matrix. this paper, nonwoven flax fabric reinforced lime composites are created using a dewatering technique, and serviceability parameters –thermal conductivity, sound absorption coefficient, residual flexural resistance after exposure to elevated temperature– determined experimentally. The tests carried out on two different prepared under distinct curing regimens, i.e., accelerated carbonation CO2 chamber natural laboratory conditions, evaluate effect forced carbonation. addition, experimental results included MIVES model (Integrated Value Model for Sustainability Assessment) social sustainability developed material an interior drywall panel. MIVES, type multi-criteria decision-making method, is based value function concept seminars with experts. In the context of post-war reconstruction, this study introduces a novel assessment model tailored for preliminary management blast-damaged reinforced concrete buildings without structural collapse risk. The addresses critical challenge prioritizing reconstruction efforts within constraints time and resources while integrating economic, environmental, social dimensions. Developed using Integrated Value Model Sustainable Assessment refined through Delphi method, provides stakeholders with practical tool to evaluate alternative scenarios, including refurbishment, demolition, retained identity, preservation future work. Validation is carried out case tourist hotel in historic area Damascus, where report confirmed building posed no results indicate that “preservation work” most sustainable option environmentally, “refurbishment” emerges as economically socially.
