In the Basic College Mathematics Course (BCMC) teaching, contents are generally based on two-valued logic; however, fuzziness is commonly presented in real life. This leads to insufficient cultivation of students’ innovative abilities, which constrains expansion scientific thinking boundaries and, furthermore, sustainability course teaching. First, from perspective continuous effectiveness content subsequent learning and research, connotation BCMC teaching was discussed. Then, analysis basic methods fuzzy sets, their role cultivating abilities explored. Next, focused three common BCMCs, namely, advanced mathematics, probability theory mathematical statistics, linear algebra, specific concepts ideas were designed by integrating set methods. Finally, exploratory mode approaches into BCMCs proposed. The proposed approach helps extend learners’ boundaries, thereby providing support for innovation ability enhancing sustained effects study can also provide references other
