Abstract Aim The chronic endometritis (CE) prevalence in people experiencing infertility is 2.8–56.8%, pregnancy rates patients with increase after hysterosalpingography oil‐based contrast, but the effect and mechanism are not clear. Here, we analyzed effects of intrauterine ethiodized poppyseed oil (EPO) bathing on a rat model CE possible underlying mechanism. Methods rats were induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) exposure, subjected to EPO or phosphate‐buffered saline (PBS) verification. Serum uterus levels IFN‐γ, IL‐4, TNF‐α, IL‐1β detected ELISA kit, number CD138 + CD68 cells uterine IL‐1β, NF‐κB P65 expression immunohistochemistry bathing. Results LPS exposure typical phenotype phagocyte infiltration endometrial stroma. Compared PBS bathing, showed decreases populations significant serum IFN‐γ levels, moreover, IL‐4 slightly higher, IFN‐γ/IL‐4(Th1/Th2‐type cytokine ratio) was significantly lower. Local endometrium downregulated, while upregulated. Conclusion Intrauterine contrast alleviated local inflammation downregulating expression, reducing IFN–γ (Th1), increasing (Th2) endometrium, regulating Th1/Th2‐type trends toward Th2.

Abstract Fetal implantation requires carefully orchestrated involvement of the maternal immune system. Aberrant function within has been suggested as a cause failure. The emergence immunological theories miscarriage led to testing an adjuvant treatment in assisted reproductive technology; however, it remains controversial, with mixed evidence both for and benefits testing. Literature on common methods technology is reviewed including those peripheral uterine natural killer cells, chronic endometritis, T-helper cells cytokine ratio. There little consensus context recurrent field limited by lack uniformity approach heterogeneity pathophysiological cause. Nevertheless, system heavily involved new era personalized medicine ensures that more defined will be achieved.
