Sonocatalysis, a vibration-induced chemical reaction, has shown great potential for catalytic applications. This study used water bath method to prepare BiOI/BaNbO3 composites with various mass ratios. Under the influence of sonocatalysis, BI/B-0.5 catalyst could degrade tetracycline hydrochloride up 96.5 % after 20 min, and stability was good. In comparison pure BiOI BaNbO3, reaction rate constants were found be 7.2 13.7 times higher, respectively. Furthermore, we systematically investigated sonocatalytic degradation effect on HTC under conditions. Finally, propose possible mechanism by composite catalyst. Our results underscore superior efficiency achieved catalyst, demonstrating its efficient removal organic pollutants.

The emergence of antimicrobial resistance due to antibiotics in the environment presents significant public health, economic, and societal risks. This study addresses need for effective strategies reduce antibiotic residues, focusing on ciprofloxacin degradation. Magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (IO NPs), approximately 13 nm size, were synthesized functionalized with branched polyethyleneimine (bPEI) obtain a positive charge. These IO-bPEI NPs combined negatively charged titanium dioxide (TiO2@CA) form magnetically photocatalytic IO-TiO2 nanocomposites. Characterization techniques, including X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning (SEM), infrared spectroscopy (IR), photoelectron (XPS), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), electrokinetic measurements, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), confirmed successful formation properties nanocomposites exhibited high specific surface area, reduced mobility photogenerated charge carriers, enhanced properties. Testing potential water under UV-B light achieved up 70% degradation 150 min, rate 0.0063 min−1. nanocomposite was removed after photocatalysis successfully regenerated reuse. findings highlight reducing levels wastewater, helping curb resistance.
