Abstract. Understanding the spatiotemporal dynamics of global urbanization over a long time series is increasingly important for sustainable development goals. The harmonized nighttime light (NTL) time-series composites created by fusing multi-source NTL observations provide and consistent record nightscape characterizing understanding urban dynamics. In this study, we generated dataset annual extents (1992–2020) using analyzed patterns nearly 30 years. urbanized areas associated with locally high intensity human activities were mapped from imagery new stepwise-partitioning framework. Urbanization results in drastic land use/cover change (LUCC) and ecological resilience (ER) issues, which has become an important urgent question of regional sustainability. This study applied the remote sensing index (RSEI) to represent ER, further combined ordinary least squares (OLS), Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform analyze spatiotemporal variations ER LUCC at city scales from 1990 2020 Hangzhou Bay Metropolitan Area (HBMA), explore relationship between LUCC, apply for urban management zoning. The demonstrated that HBMA showed a characteristic "slightly worse overall improved locally", mean value decreased 0.508 0.502 2020. Accurate insights into the spatial distribution of cultivated areas, land use for effective agricultural management, and improvement food security planning, especially in developing countries. Therefore, this study examined impact changes population growth on wheat crop productivity. First, by incorporating more than three decades satellite data (1990–2022) different Landsat missions with machine learning algorithms, high-confidence classes were defined features, including cropland. Second, grown area was identified using cropland extraction based acreage assessment method (CLE-WAAM). Third, dynamics applying an exponential model to forecast predict demand. These findings necessitate integrated methodological development demand supply mechanisms two-step floating catchment (2SFCA) approach a thorough analysis socioeconomic developments.
