Interdisciplinary research has significantly advanced our understanding, benefits, and measurements of Urban Green Space (UGS). Further, the rapid expansion on this topic resulted in a diverse array definitions, which can rely implicit assumptions without formal definition. This variability highlights need for carefully structured framework to refine combine these definitions. narrative review examines constructs underlying UGS, particularly focusing spatial aspects how we spatially measure define exposure; latter focuses two methods: viewsheds image segmentation. Our findings reveal shift UGS measurement focus, moving beyond simple quantification much green space exists, incorporate visibility, accessibility, availability dimensions. Furthermore, advancements computational tools, including artificial intelligence-driven methods, now enable high-resolution visibility city-wide scale, supporting epidemiological urban development. These insights aim guide researchers practitioners selecting suitable methodologies datasets, as well explicitly defining their work through construct-based approach.

A growing number of articles have identified and reported the benefits importance urban green spaces for improving human well-being, but there is a significant knowledge gap regarding impact on subjective well-being older adults. The literature search (August 2015-August 2022) was derived from two major scientific databases, Google Scholar, Web Science. As result, 2558 were found, 1527 which retrieved WOS rest Scholar. Bibliometric methods VOSviewer software used to screen organize in relevant fields. Finally, 65 met review criteria. included studies aim capture various features meeting or enhancing needs results our further support existence strong link between adults' spaces, providing new insights future in-depth reexamination policy development. Furthermore, relationship depends not only themselves also characteristics adult population that uses them.

Abstract The rapid process of urbanization and climate change have resulted in socio-environmental issues that necessitate viable intervention strategies to create green, sustainable, healthy, livable built environments. One effective method achieving this is through the development pocket parks. Although several studies explored benefits design principles parks, there a lack systematic quantitative understanding, which could influence decision-making for proper adoption In view knowledge gap, study employs bibliometric methods critical review quantitatively analyze systematically 276 papers published Web Science Scopus databases between 1977 2023. Firstly, analysis conducted, providing comprehensive overview research on Secondly, detailed conducted from three major perspectives: influencing factors, methods, Finally, trends future directions are discussed. results indicate (a) park takes various forms, with growing number articles each year. However, topic primarily concentrated United States China, significant gaps remaining globally. (b) utilization parks affected by including internal, external physical, socio-economic factors. mechanisms these factors their interactions demand deeper understanding. (c) There need conduct an in-depth exploration planning different country contexts can be expanded compared. (d) Further needed compare climatic zones terms depth width. outcome contribute body foster wider acceptance, help urban planners, practitioners, policy makers, government managers apply them more effectively resilient cities future.

Regional ecological security pattern (ESP) can provide the basis for regional territorial spatial planning and urban protection. Taking Wuhan metropolitan area as study area, a binary logistic regression model was used to quantify evolutionary driving forces transformation risk of land. An identification framework source based on "quality-risk-demand" constructed identify by calculating land comprehensive value from three aspects quality, degradation risk, human demand. The resistance surface calculated according land-use type nighttime light data, further using circuit theory range its key areas corridors, specific ESP their priority area. results showed sources were 382.4 km2, accounting 17.3% corridors in terrestrial ecosystem (TEC) 14.38 with an average width 77.8 m, including 4.99 km2 pinch points 3.71 barriers, indicating poor actual connectivity TEC. Ecological aquatic (AEC) 107.67 km long, 57.86 14.24 substitutability AEC. Overall, "three horizontals, verticals, four clusters" identified, where sources, barriers protection restoration constructing it. Existing spaces within range, corridor highly consistent situation, verifying significance framework. This focuses needs residents, combining intrinsic quality extrinsic risks land, proposes integrated identifying identifies theory, attempts quantitative case reference construction other areas.

Urban green spaces (UGS) are an important foundation for supporting sustainable urban development and benefiting the well-being of residents. However, access to is a complex dynamic process. Existing studies have mainly used single method assess UGS accessibility, research on influencing factors has less focused multi-variable perspective. In this study, we innovatively integrated four methods—Container, Distance, Gravity, 2SFCA—to accessibility at LSOA level in Inner London. We examined impact land use patterns, space types, individual characteristics accessibility. Then, Spearman's correlation analysis Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression model were check relationship between multiple variables with The main findings as follows: (1) results based multi-method reflect variation distribution London, more than 80% LSOAs having below-average accessibility; (2) significantly influenced by factors, particularly race, income, education, crime, office, residential, non-park (multiple types beyond parks). This study highlights inequalities suggests strategies policymakers improve integration planning.
