In this study, we conducted a scoping review and bibliometric analysis to evaluate the state-of-the-art regarding actual applications of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies guide precision agriculture (PA) practices within smallholder farms. Drone imagery has the potential to enrich urban planning and historic preservation, especially where it converges with growing creation use of 3D models in context cities metro regions. Nevertheless, widespread adoption drones these fields faces limitations, there is a shortage research addressing this issue. Therefore, we have conducted systematic literature review articles published between 2002 2022 drawing from reputable academic repositories, including Science Direct, Web Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), identify current gaps existing on application UAVs contexts preservation. Our findings indicate five shortcomings for city modeling: limited participation experts, focus imbalance, lack usage special scenarios, integration smart planning, interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition, study acknowledges limitations around UAV applications discusses possible countermeasures along future prospects.
