Regional integration, as an essential measurement for solving unbalanced and uncoordinated regional development, plays important role in achieving sustainable development. In this study, we aimed to construct a systematic research framework facilitate the development of integration. Using 31 prefecture-level cities urban agglomeration Middle Reaches Yangtze River (MYR-UA) case sites, study applied box plots, kernel density estimation, GIS visualization tools, Markov chains, geographic detectors reveal dynamic spatiotemporal evolution factors influencing integration from 2009 2018. The results indicate that level its subsystem is suboptimal MYR-UA; temporal characteristic shows upward fluctuating trend, spatial distribution remarkable correlation clustering characteristics. Additionally, found MYR-UA has both “path dependence” “self-locking” effects, lag type crucial impact on degree transfer stability. dominant affecting include GDP per capita, economic openness, industrial structure, proportion education expenditure fiscal expenditure, urbanization rate, environmental investment population density, capital flow, information technology flow. Finally, based findings policy recommendations promoting are proposed.

With the rapid development of urbanization, land transfer has become a significant part urban development. This article builds comprehensive evaluation system to quantify new-type urbanization level agglomeration in middle reaches Yangtze River from 2006 2017. To explore relationship between two more clearly, spatial econometric model and threshold panel are used how affects urbanization. The results show that: is characterized by fluctuating increases, but that regional differences an expanding trend. Moran’s I fluctuates at approximately 0.120, showing positive correlation. estimation Durbin (SDM) indicate coefficient its lag 0.040 0.006 respectively, indicating it impacts on there nonlinear new will change both negative directions with changes government intervention.
