Regional
integration,
as
an
essential
measurement
for
solving
unbalanced
and
uncoordinated
regional
development,
plays
important
role
in
achieving
sustainable
development.
In
this
study,
we
aimed
to
construct
a
systematic
research
framework
facilitate
the
development
of
integration.
Using
31
prefecture-level
cities
urban
agglomeration
Middle
Reaches
Yangtze
River
(MYR-UA)
case
sites,
study
applied
box
plots,
kernel
density
estimation,
GIS
visualization
tools,
Markov
chains,
geographic
detectors
reveal
dynamic
spatiotemporal
evolution
factors
influencing
integration
from
2009
2018.
The
results
indicate
that
level
its
subsystem
is
suboptimal
MYR-UA;
temporal
characteristic
shows
upward
fluctuating
trend,
spatial
distribution
remarkable
correlation
clustering
characteristics.
Additionally,
found
MYR-UA
has
both
“path
dependence”
“self-locking”
effects,
lag

crucial
impact
on
degree
transfer
stability.
