Background: Rheumatic diseases encompass a diverse group of autoimmune disorders that affect the joints and connective tissues. The red blood cell distribution width (RDW) has been widely investigated as an inflammatory marker. This scoping review aimed to explore potential utility RDW inexpensive marker for disease activity in patients with rheumatic diseases. By summarizing available evidence, we determine whether can serve reliable accessible indicator these patients. Methods: A comprehensive search was systematically performed across electronic databases, encompassing PubMed, Embase, Web Science. Studies have explored relationship between Data extraction focused on study characteristics, methodologies, findings related Results: After removing duplicates, initial yielded 25 relevant studies. These studies encompassed variety diseases, rheumatoid arthritis being most frequently studied condition. association assessed by using various indices clinical parameters. While some reported significant correlation elevated activity, others inconclusive results. Conclusion: From this review, concluded is evaluation promising readily marker; however, its assessing conditions warrants more rigorous investigation through well-designed prospective Keywords: width, RDW, marker,

Dietary protein supplementation has emerged as a promising strategy in combating sarcopenia. Furthermore, searching for alternatives of animal proteins been hot topic. The present study aimed to investigate the effects zein peptides on C2C12 myoblasts and explore their potential molecular mechanisms. proliferative, cell cycle, anti-apoptotic activities were evaluated. Peptidomics analysis transcriptome sequencing employed structure-activity relationship underlying results indicated that (0.05–0.2 mg/mL) exerted significant proliferation-promoting impact cells, via increasing viability by 33.37 42.39%. significantly increased S phase proportion decreased apoptosis rate from 34.08% (model group) 28.96% cells. In addition, exhibited pronounced effect Zein are abundant branch-chain amino acids, especially leucine. Transcriptomics revealed can promote proliferation, accelerate improve synthesis muscle cells through mTORC1 mTORC2 signaling pathways.

Arthritis is an inflammatory joint disorder that progressively impairs function and diminishes quality of life. Conventional therapies often prove ineffective, as oral administration lacks specificity, resulting in off-target side effects like hepatotoxicity GIT-related issues. Intravenous causes systemic effects. The characteristic joint-localized symptoms such pain, stiffness, inflammation make the localized drug delivery suitable for managing arthritis. Topical/transdermal/intra-articular routes have become viable options treating However, challenges with those include skin barrier cartilage impermeability. Additionally, conventional intra-articular also leads to rapid clearance drugs from synovial tissue. To circumvent these limitations, researchers developed nanocarriers enhance permeability through cartilage, influencing action. Gel-based nanoengineered therapy employs a gel matrix incorporate drug-encapsulated nanocarriers. This approach combines benefits gels therapeutic improve patient compliance. review emphasizes deep insights into using diverse gel-based novel nanocarriers, exploring their various applications embedded hyaluronic acid (biopolymer)-based gels, carbopol-based others. Furthermore, this discusses influence nanocarrier pharmacokinetics on localization manipulation macrophages mediated by ELVIS (extravasation leaky vasculature cell-mediated sequestration) effect associated arthritis advantageous delivery. Simply put, refers extravasation vasculatures, which finally results accumulation cavity.
