Bacteriophages (phages) are nano-sized viruses characterized by their inherent ability to live off bacteria. They utilize diverse mechanisms absorb and gain entry into the bacterial cell wall via release of viral genetic material, which uses replication host bacteria produce daughter progeny virions that attack surrounding cells. possess specific characteristics, including specificity for particular or closely related species. have many applications, as potential alternatives antibiotics against multi-resistant pathogens control agents in bacteria-contaminated environments. ubiquitously abundant nature biota, gut. Gut microbiota describes community interactions microorganisms within intestine. As with bacteria, parasitic bacteriophages constantly interact cells gut system obvious implications human health. However, it is imperative understand these they open up possible applicable techniques gut-implicated diseases. Thus, this review aims explore communities current impacts on

β-lactam resistance is a significant global public health issue. Outbreaks of bacteria resistant to extended-spectrum β-lactams and carbapenems are serious concerns that not only complicate medical care but also impact patient outcomes. The primary objective this work was express purify two soluble recombinant representative serine β‑lactamases using Escherichia coli strain as an expression host pET101/D cloning vector. Furthermore, second evaluate the potential, innovative, safe use galloylquinic acid (GQA) from Copaifera lucens potential β-lactamase inhibitor. In present study, blaCTX-M-15 blaKPC-2 represented genes encoding for β-lactamases were cloned parent isolates E. K. pneumoniae, respectively, well purification performed. Moreover, susceptibility results demonstrated cells became all test (MICs; 64–128 µg/mL) cephalosporins 128–512 µg/mL). MICs tested antibiotics determined in combination with 4 µg/mL GQA, clavulanic acid, or tazobactam against strains expressing CTX-M-15 KPC-2-β-lactamases. Interestingly, GQA resulted important reduction MIC values by 64–512-fold susceptible range comparable other reference inhibitors. Additionally, half-maximal inhibitory concentration nitrocefin substrate. Data showed agent similar efficient inhibitors enzymes, recording smaller IC50 (CTX-M-15; 17.51 tazobactam, 28.16 however, KPC-2; 20.91 24.76 GQA) compared acid. Our introduces novel non-β-lactam inhibitor, which interacts crucial residues involved recognition hydrolysis non-covalent interactions, complementing enzyme's active site. markedly enhanced potency carbapenemase β-lactamase-producing strains, reducing range. activity makes it promising lead molecule development more potent
