Emerging pollutants such as microplastics in water environments readily accumulate microorganisms on their surfaces, forming biofilms and concentrating antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARB) antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs). Consequently, microplastic have attracted the attention of researchers. Horizontal gene transfer (HGT) ARGs is one primary ways that acquire resistance. Most studies focus effects nanomaterials suspended bacteria, but hotspots for horizontal also warrant significant investigation. This study primarily explored compared nano-titanium dioxide conjugation frequency biofilms. Nano-titanium could promote ARG both biofilms, with a greater effect former. The mechanism involved promoting production reactive oxygen species (ROS) biofilm increasing synthesis outer membrane proteins, enhancing cell permeability, elevating expression levels conjugation-related genes, thereby facilitating ARGs. Biofilm being heavily encased protected by extracellular polymeric substances (EPS), exhibit to external environmental pressure, resulting weaker impact bacteria. reveals risk within induced nanomaterials, providing valuable insights into risks dissemination environments.

Plastic has become an indispensable material in modern industry and daily life due to its excellent physical chemical properties, such as corrosion resistance, lightweight, durability, low cost. farming gear is widely used aquaculture. Oysters will adhere gear. In this study, plastic with oyster attachment was collected Shandong coastal area: black floating ball, colored transparent ball foam ball. Compare the number tightness of on three types gear, analyze reasons for differences from aspects: surface roughness, polymer type, aquaculture scenarios. The results showed that floats had largest oysters attached them longest shells. This may be because float a rough hard texture, mainly areas. However, balls were light, easy waves, could not provide stable conditions oysters. study provides useful information interaction between bivalves.
