Plants are a rich source of secondary metabolites, among which phenolics the most abundant. To date, over 8000 various polyphenolic compounds have been identified in plant species, phenolic acids, flavonoids, coumarins, stilbenes and lignans important ones. Acne is one commonly treated dermatological diseases, acne vulgaris rosacea frequently diagnosed. In scientific literature, there lack detailed presentation discussion on importance treatment common specific skin e.g., acne. Therefore, aim this review to gather, present discuss current state knowledge activity towards prevention acne, including vitro, vivo human studies. It was revealed that because their significant antibacterial, anti-inflammatory antioxidant activities, may be used types individually as well combination with drugs like clindamycin benzoyl peroxide. Among tested, EGCG, quercetin nobiletin seem promising ones; however, more studies, especially clinical trials, needed fully evaluate efficacy treating

One of the biggest issues for medical professionals and a serious global concern is emergence multi-drug-resistant bacteria, which result overuse or misuse antimicrobial agents. To combat this urgent problem, new drugs with alternative mechanisms action are continuously replacing conventional antimicrobials. Nanotechnology-fueled innovations provide patients hope overcoming drug resistance. The aim present work was to document potential metallic nanoparticles against bacterial pathogens. Cell wall interaction membrane penetration, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, DNA damage, protein synthesis inhibition were some generalised recognised in current study. In vitro vivo studies demonstrated that toxicity concerns development resistance (NPs) harden use NP products treatment drug-resistant Therefore, researchers across globe should actively engage solving above-mentioned issues.

Multidrug antimicrobial resistance (AMR) represents a formidable challenge in the therapy of infectious diseases, triggered by particularly concerning gram-negative Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter spp. (ESKAPE) pathogens. Designated as "priority" 2017, these bacteria continue to pose significant threat 2024, during worldwide SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, where coinfections with ESKAPE members contributed worsened patient outcomes. The declining effectiveness current treatments against pathogens has led an increased disease burden increase mortality rates globally. This review explores sophisticated mechanisms driving AMR bacteria, focusing on Key bacterial contributing include limitations drug uptake, production antibiotic-degrading enzymes, alterations target sites, enhanced efflux systems. Comprehending pathways is vital for formulating innovative therapeutic strategies tackling ongoing posed resistant

While the use of antibiotics has been reported as extensive in rearing agricultural animals, insufficient information is available on antibiotic residues animal products and adverse impact that consistent low-level exposure to might have human body its microbiome. The aim this study was estimate concentrations humans are exposed via their diet using concentration food water an online survey dietary intake. A total 131 participants completed intake survey, with majority belonging omnivorous group (76.3%). Distinct trends were observed unknown groups eating products, specific types dominating each meal: pork (e.g., ham) dairy milk, yoghurt) during breakfast, beef burgers) chicken breast) lunch, fish salmon fillet) dinner. In total, 34 different animal-based drink tested for presence ten antibiotics. Of all tested, over 35% exceeded acceptable daily amoxicillin, ampicillin, enrofloxacin.

Abstract The numbers of infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria (GNB) that produce extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs) and those are carbapenem resistant, especially Escherichia coli ( E. ) Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. ), increasing, these becoming a global public health problem. aim this study was to assess the prevalence ESBL-producing carbapenem-resistant bacilli in patients hospitalized at An-Najah National University Hospital Nablus, Palestine, provide healthcare workers with valuable information on treatment infections. A retrospective cross-sectional investigation conducted large tertiary care teaching hospital. included admitted hospital between January December 2021, from whom were isolated. patients' clinical demographic obtained system. In addition, regarding bacterial isolates antibiotic resistance hospital's microbiology laboratory. This total 188 patients—91 males (48.4%) 97 females (51.6%). general surgical ward accounted for highest proportion (30.9%), followed ICU (12.2%). most common coli, which 62.8% cases. Among them, urinary tract microorganism prevalent (44.7% patients).
