Abstract Colorectal cancer, the third most prevalent cancer globally, contributes significantly to mortality rates, with over 1.9 million reported cases and nearly 935,000 fatalities annually. Surgical resection is a primary approach for localized colorectal tumors, adjunct therapies like chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted/immunotherapy considered depending on tumor stage. However, despite preferences targeted immunotherapy post-surgery, chemotherapy remains commonly chosen due its lower cost high cancer-killing efficiency. Yet, faces issues such as resistance severe side effects. Nanotechnology has emerged in therapy by alleviating drawbacks of current treatment approaches. In past few decades, inorganic nanoparticles have shown promise combating offering advantages conventional chemotherapy. Compared organic nanoparticles, exhibit properties photosensitivity, conductivity, magnetic allure, thermal proficiency, allowing them function both drug carriers therapeutic agents.
