A response surface methodology (RSM) and one-factor method were established to investigate the optimum conditions for extraction of lychee nuclear polysaccharides (LSP) by ultrasonic-assisted pectinase. The content basic components in was determined. antioxidant activity well determined compared differences activities extracted water (LSP-HW) those at ultrasound-assisted enzyme (LSP-UAE). polysaccharide increased with increase concentration. anti-hydroxyl radical anti-lipid peroxidation abilities more excellent, LSP-HW slightly better than LSP-UAE terms activity, but difference not significant. In solubility; without deproteinization best, followed LSP-UAE, worst after deproteinization. higher glycoprotein content, solubility its polysaccharide. Compared existing methods, this experiment greatly improved rate further enriched polysaccharides.

Purple mangosteen scarfskin polysaccharide has many important physiological functions, but its preparation method, structure, and function need further exploration. A was obtained from by ultrasonic-assisted extraction purified. On this basis, structure physicochemical properties were investigated. The Congo red experiment used to determine whether it a triple helix conformation. of purple analyzed infrared spectroscopy nuclear magnetic analysis. antioxidant activities the above three polysaccharides studied related experiments. It found that monosaccharide composition mainly contained large amount arabinose, small rhamnoose very galacturonic acid, core main chain composed 1,4-α-arabinose. did not have spatial configuration. After acetylation polysaccharide, acetylated derivative with degree substitution 0.33 obtained. they had certain scavenging inhibiting effects on hydroxyl radicals lipid peroxidation, their concentration polysaccharides. Meanwhile, activity significantly enhanced after modified treatment acetylation, which indicated chemical modification could effectively improve some polysaccharide. studies provided reference value for research development

Abstract Background Polysaccharide from Garcinia mangostana rind has many biological activities and deserves further research. Methods The antioxidant properties of UAEE-GMRP, UAEE-GMRP-1 A, CM-30, Ac-30 were evaluated through two different activity experimental systems. Results four polysaccharides had a better scavenging effect on hydroxyl radicals, while their inhibitory lipid peroxidation was relatively weak. However, overall, the showed certain degree potential application in experiments mentioned above, especially chemically modified rind, which effectively improved activity. This also indicates that chemical modification is method to improve polysaccharide In addition, these exploration experiments, carboxymethylated stronger compared other three polysaccharides. Conclusion carboxymethylation may have great for application.

In this research, ultrasound-assisted enzymatic extraction of sugarcane peel polysaccharides and optimization process conditions were used to investigate their properties antioxidant activities. The effects liquid-material ratio, ultrasonic temperature, time, cellulase dosage on the rate SPP investigated by one-way experiments response surface analysis determine optimal conditions. Meanwhile, structural characterization (FT-IR NMR analyses) activity studies (DPPH hydroxyl radical scavenging rates) carried out total sugar content SPP. results showed that for method 40 mL/g 50 °C ultrasound min 5% enzyme dosage, yield was 5.38% 75.52% under these extracted some ability both DPPH radicals, 54.63% 33.91%, respectively, when mass concentration solution 4 mg/mL. present study demonstrated enzymes can effectively extract with activity, which provides a theoretical basis developing utilizing has potential application value.

The polysaccharides from Stemona tuberosa Lour, a kind of plant used in Chinese herbal medicine, have various pharmacological activities, such as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. However, the effects extraction methods activity different parts are still unknown. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate on yields, chemical compositions, bioactivity extracted Lour. Obtaining high-added value compounds from agricultural waste receives increasing attention, as it can both improve resource utilization efficiency and reduce generation. In this study, polysaccharides are extracted the discarded roots of Abelmoschus manihot (L.) by high-efficiency ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE). The optimized condition was determined solid–liquid ratio SL = 1:20, temperature T 30 °C time 40 min, achieving an yield 13.41%. Composition analysis revealed that glucose (Glc, 44.65%), rhamnose (Rha, 26.30%), galacturonic acid (GalA, 12.50%) galactose (Gal, 9.86%) major monosaccharides extract. extract showed a low degree esterification (DE) 40.95%, its Fourier-transform infrared (FT−IR) spectrum exhibited several characteristic peaks polysaccharides. Inspired wide cosmetic applications polysaccharides, skincare effect evaluated via moisture retention, total phenolic content (TPC) quantification, 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH)-free radical scavenging activity, anti-hyaluronidase anti-elastase activity experiments. solutions demonstrated 48 h retention rate 10.75%, which is superior to commercially available moisturizer hyaluronic (HA).
