Abstract Apostichopus japonicus , also known as Stichopus with medicinal and food homologous figures, is a globally recognized precious ingredient extremely high nutritional value. There no relevant review available through literature search, so this article selects the research articles keywords “sea cucumber” “ ( )” in six professional databases, such Wiley, PubMed, ScienceDirect, ACS, Springer, Web of Science, from 2000 to present, summarizing extraction, isolation, purification methods for four major categories (polysaccharides, proteins peptides, saponins, other components) A. chemical substances 10 effective biological activities . Included are anticoagulation, anticancer/antitumor activities, hematopoiesis, regulation gut microbiota, immune regulatory that correspond traditional efficacy. Literature support provided development medicines functional foods related aspects play leading role future directions.

The study was designed to investigate the effects of replacing fish oil by algal and rapeseed on histomorphology indices intestine, skin gill, mucosal barrier status immune-related genes mucin antimicrobial peptide (AMP) in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar). For these purposes, smolts were fed three different diets. first a control diet containing but no Schizochytrium oil. In second diet, almost 50% replaced with oil, third entirely contained mostly docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) some eicosapentaenoic (EPA). lasted for 49 days freshwater (FW), after which from each group transferred seawater (SW) 48-hour challenge test at 33 ppt their ability tolerate high salinity. Samples skin, gills, mid intestine [both distal (DI) anterior (AI) portions intestine] collected feeding trial FW SW-challenge assess diets structure immune functions surfaces. results showed that VMO (Veramaris® oil) dietary had improved intestinal, gill structures. Principal component analysis (PCA) histomorphological parameters demonstrated significant effect gills. particular, function gills enhanced SW challenge, as evidenced increased mucous cell density. Immunolabelling heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) (both DI AI) revealed downregulation expression corresponding upregulation 100% compared 0% VMO. reactivity HSP70 epithelial cells higher phase. Immune-related related defense, such [muc2, muc5ac1 (DI), (AI), muc5ac2, muc5b (skin), (gills)], [def3 def3 cath1 (skin)] significantly upregulated group. PCA gene positive influences regulation conclusion, this substituting salmon. findings histomorphometry, mapping, immunohistochemistry, connected responses all support conclusion.

Abstract Skin wounds are not only an aesthetic concern but also pose great risks to quality of life and general health. As the most promising biomaterial, hydrogels three-dimensional polymeric networks have attracted intense research attention. Hydrogels developed a diverse range biomedical biopharmaceutical applications, owing their large water content, biocompatibility, tunable mechanical properties, stimuli-responsiveness. Stimuli-responsive smart materials which exhibit gelation, structural, degradation, performance function changes when treated with external stimulations. Using these prepare wound dressing is rapidly growing area has exhibited encouraging healing outcomes in small animal models, especially for treatment chronic wounds, diabetic persistent skin inflammations. The present work gives detailed critical analysis on design strategies, gelation mechanisms, selection, stimuli-responsiveness, hydrogel drug release profiles, dressings prepared by sensitivity temperature, pH, reactive oxygen species (ROS), glucose, enzymes, lights. We summarize, analyze, critically evaluate recent publications this explain, compare, assess why how various synthetic bio-polymers utilized scientists develop next generation regeneration. Lifestyle health has been recognized as an evidence-based innovation that defines how daily habits and practices impact both the prevention treatment of disease provides important adjunctive component to overall health. Specifically, approach with small changes over time can have a dramatic on well-being individuals not only, in general, but also be applied skin However, lifestyle factors improve discussed extensively and/or well promulgated. The narrative for this overview focuses providing summary topic background information, more importantly, presents four dermal [i.e., factor 1: nutrition - diet; 2: rest (sleep); 3: movement/physical exercise, 4: social community associations]. This was accomplished by identifying previous journal articles reviews emphasis last five years (from January 2018 through July 2023; 156 out 190 references cited or 82 %) using scientific search databases. main conclusions encourage concept such nutrition/diet, rest/sleep, community/social interactions support enhanced aging. Plus, media interventions aim promote dietary, sleep physical activity might application future.
