The single-luminophore-based ratiometric electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor coupling bidirectional regulator has become a research hotspot in the detection field because of its simplicity and accuracy. However, limited hinders further development. In this study, by leveraging robust predictive capabilities machine learning, we prepared an Fe-based metal-organic framework (FeMOF) as for modulating dual-emission ECL signals single luminophore first time. proof concept was demonstrated applying FeMOF to classical Ru(bpy)32+, results showed ability enhance cathode signal (Ecathode) inhibit anode (Eanode). As example, Tau protein (Tau) utilizing FeMOF/Ru(bpy)32+ system developed. incorporation effectively mitigated erratic fluctuations or minor discrepancies between two stronger correlation stability Ecathode/Eanode than before regulation. result, good analytical performance with limit low 3.38 fg mL-1 (S/N = 3). Moreover, it not only comparable test commercially available ELISA kit but also could well distinguish normal Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients (80% specificity 90% sensitivity). Thus, proposed strategy is promising be extended other luminophores MOFs, providing new path sensors.

External light sources, such as lasers, emitting diodes (LEDs) and lamps, are widely applied in photodynamic therapy (PDT); however, their use is severely limited by the nature of shallow tissue penetration depth. The recent exploration delivery or local generation on tumor sites has attracted much attention, owing to fact that these systems significantly endowed with high penetration. In this review, we briefly introduced principle "on-spot systems" PDT. These divided into different categories: (1) implantable luminescence, (2) mechanoluminescence, (3) electrochemiluminescence, (4) Cerenkov (5) chemiluminescence, (6) bioluminescence. Finally, applications, advantages, disadvantages PDT will be appropriately summarized further discussed detail. We believe review provide general guidance for design clinical studies PDT-mediated cancer treatments unparalleled merits.
