Abstract
Perioperative
stroke
is
an
ischemic
or
hemorrhagic
cerebral
event
during
up
to
30
days
after
surgery.
It
a
feared
condition
due
relatively
high
incidence,
difficulties
in
timely
detection,
and
unfavorable
outcome
compared
spontaneously
occurring
stroke.
Recent
preclinical
data
suggest
that
specific
pathophysiological
mechanisms
such
as
aggravated
neuroinflammation
contribute
the
detrimental
impact
of
perioperative
Conventional
treatment
options
are
limited
setting
difficult
diagnosis
medications
affecting
coagulation
may
cases.
On
contrary,
chance
anticipate
cerebrovascular
events
at
time
surgery
pave
way
for
prevention
strategies.
This
review
provides
overview
on
related
problems,

mechanisms.

derived

plant
foods,
has

anti-inflammatory
activity.
