Awareness

We
conducted
a
prospective,
single
arm,
multisite,
multinational,
open
label
trial

novel

neurofeedback
treatment,

chronic
PTSD.

veterans

underwent
screening,

validated

endpoint
was
more
than
50%

demonstrating

Clinically
Important
Difference
(MCID)

reduction,

PTSD

score
at
months.

measures

PCL-5,
ERQ,
PHQ-9,

Statistical
analyses

performed

Abstract
Hyperactivation
of
amygdala
is
a
neural
marker
for
post-traumatic
stress
disorder
(PTSD)
and
improvement
in
control
over
activity
has
been
associated
with
treatment
success
PTSD.
In
this
randomized,
double-blind
clinical
trial
we
evaluated
the
efficacy
real-time
fMRI
neurofeedback
intervention
designed
to
train
following
trauma
recall.
Twenty-five
patients
PTSD
completed
three
sessions
training
which
they
attempted
downregulate
feedback
signal
after
exposure
personalized
scripts.
For
subjects
active
experimental
group

Abstract
Electroencephalography
(EEG)
and
functional
magnetic
resonance
imaging
(fMRI)
are
two
commonly
used
non-invasive
techniques
for
measuring
brain
activity
in
neuroscience
brain–computer
interfaces
(BCI).
Objective
.
In
this
review,
we
focus
on
the
use
of
EEG
fMRI
neurofeedback
(NF)
discuss
challenges
combining
modalities
to
improve
understanding
achieve
more
effective
clinical
outcomes.
Advanced
technologies
have
been
developed
simultaneously

Background:
Post-traumatic
stress
disorder
(PTSD)
manifests
through
distinct
symptom
clusters
that
can
respond
differently
to
treatments.
Neurofeedback
guided
by
